Are these colour corrected? Because they still look off to me - way too much red in some of these. Maybe it's the years of watching the washed out GOUT, but yeah.
Aside from that (and looking past the .jpg artifacts) these prints look amazing.

I guess that's a possibility considering they've already repackaged the BD set and they need to have something to cash-in on the hype.
Then again, they might reissue the same set again with a cheap lump of plastic modelled after something from Ep. VII, call it a day and watch the money pour in.

It seems that the bars in the second screen are brighter than those in the first - it's not just the top one.

I don't quite agree with your optimism. Poking Disney isn't the same as poking Lucasfilm, even though there probably is considerable good will on Disney's side if they still haven't nuked this forum. Also, it's probably not difficult to find out who the guy is. There's a name in the youtube channel, for one thing.
