Deleted scenes re-added in and completely new shots in A New Hope Special Edition
Time

https://www.savestarwars.com/specialeditionchanges.html

Am I correct in saying there are 2 deleted scenes re-added to the ANH SE in 1997 (Jabba the Hutt and Biggs reunion)?
Also, how many completely new shots are there that aren’t from deleted scenes? I can think of a few like the extended Mos Eisley introduction and the new stormtrooper shots before one of them says “look sir, droids!”

Were the prequels released on 70mm, and were the sequels released on film other than IMAX 70mm?
Time

I know the originals were released on 35mm and 70mm, the prequels were released on 35mm and digital projection, and the sequels were released on digital projection and IMAX 70mm. My question is were the prequels ever released on 70mm and were the sequels ever released on 35mm and regular 70mm?

There should be a proper release of the 1977 Star Wars at this point
Time

What do you mean “weird sock”?
I couldn’t think of a username so I just punched my keyboard.
Anyway, what I mean is if they won’t release all of the films unaltered, they could release a standalone ANH with no episode number like it was in 1977, and when I imagine what it would look like i think of this. https://imgur.com/a/RA4aO7q

If Disney won’t release every Star Wars movie without any changes, this is the least they can do. The 2006 DVD was released with no effort and missed the point entirely because it had 1993’s audio alterations. My idea is for a standalone release of Star Wars in its unaltered form in Ultra HD Blu-ray and digital. This would not only preserve an important piece of film history, but make them a damn good amount of money as well. George Lucas probably put something in the Disney contract so they can’t do this though, because any sane person in charge of Star Wars would definitely have done this already. I just can’t stand the CGI crap George Lucas put into Star Wars. What was he thinking?

Info Wanted: about digital broadcasts of the theatrical version of The Phantom Menace?
Time

The only official widescreeen releases of the theatrical cut of The Phantom Menace are on VHS and Laserdisc. These broadcasts would be the only digital sources of the theatrical cut other than pan-and-scan VCDs. I have been looking for more information about these broadcasts and where to find them but I haven’t got anywhere with my research.

What font is used for "THE DIGITAL MOVIE COLLECTION" in this image?
Time

I have a feeling this might be the font used for the Episode title in the opening crawls. This font is used for the logos of the films in Star Wars The Digital Movie Collection.

Info Wanted: Star Wars Episodes 1 to 9 - Correct buying / downloading versions?
Time

ChainsawAsh, I’m talking about a different wipe. Wookieepedia says “There is a different wipe and slightly shorter “Noooo!!” from Darth Vader” which would probably refer to the wipe at 0:24 in this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tim5nU3DwIE and if the shorter “Noooo!!” is false, then the different wipe probably is false as well.

Revenge of the Sith DVD - additional change?
Time

It says on Wookieepedia that “There is a different wipe and slightly shorter “Noooo!!” from Darth Vader” on the DVD of Revenge of the Sith in addition to the other change, the wipe that was changed to a cut. I have been told the shorter “Noooo!!” is false because they have the theatrical audio, but Wookieepedia says there was a different wipe as well. Is any of this true, or was there indeed only one change on the DVD?
