I can’t even download Thor Ragnarok KK650 regraded with uTorrent which is only 2gb… seems I have to switch to transmission to seed KK650 releases 😦

I just tested the 2GB and 9GB Thor Ragnarok releases with utorrent 3.5.1 and they started downloading without any problems.

Zanarduz, I think you most likely need to update your utorrent, that will fix any problems you’re having. Clicking on the ‘help’ on the top left of the utorrent window then clicking on ‘check for updates’ should update utorrent to 3.5.1 which is the latest version.

Hello KK650.
I really love your regrades (though you’re making mostly contemporary films that don’t interest me).
I’m not sure if the King and I (which has a blanket blue tint) is something that would interest you. But thought to bring it to your attention.

Thanks titanic, I appreciate that.

Can I ask where the second screencaps you’ve posted for The King and I come from? They are close to how I would regrade this release myself.

Wow. The reviews of SoM have been so flattering and I saw no one mentioning that obvious yellow tint.

What in the world were they thinking? Excellent work.

Was that scene by scene adjustment or just a simple adjustment applied to the whole film?

Thanks!

It is a very nice looking blu-ray in terms of grain, overall detail and looking filmic so I can understand why the reviews were so positive, one thing i’ve noticed with blu-ray reviews though is that blanket tints often get overlooked, especially of older blu-ray releases like The Sound of Music. I’m so used to seeing and removing blanket tints that I can’t help but notice them when they’re there but the vast majority of reviewers don’t, especially if they’re subtle.

I used one setting for the whole film, to remove all the blanket yellow tint and correct the skin tones.

kk650's Regraded Blade Runner 2049 (2017) V2 (blanket yellow tint removed from blu-ray) (Released)
Time

3GB, 11GB and 23GB releases of Blade Runner 2049 V2 are now available at the usual place. All those interested in knowing where, send me a PM.

With this V2 release I removed more of the blanket yellow tint compared to the previous release to bring out the reds as much as possible.

An important thing to point out about the 23GB Blade Runner 2049 releases, the_magicman had to use 64MB piece size with the 23GB torrents to get them to upload properly. utorrent does not support torrents with 64MB piece size, so you’ll have to use other bittorrent clients to download those releases. I recommend using deluge, qbittorrent or vuze for best download speeds. If you would like more 23GB torrents in future, once you finish downloading, do please do your bit and help seed these 23GB releases so others can enjoy them as well.

KK50, it looks like the Blade Runner 2049 blu ray has some issues with the blu ray colors. Have you looked into giving it a regrade?

he’s already done 23GB is out on another forum

ilyasdesign40 is spot on. I just got back from a much needed holiday today, the_magicman has been covering for me and uploaded regrades of different sizes of Blade Runner 2049 in my absense. They’ve been popular so 23GB versions with the Atmos track from the blu-ray are also available. I’ll post topics for the new Blade Runner 2049 regrades here later today.

I was hoping your absence was due to holiday. (Not that I thought you disappeared or anything) just thought you deserved a vacation for all the work you do here! Hope you had fun and welcome back.

Thanks Ccooluke! Its good to be back.

I think TM is the one that needs a break now, putting up all the different sizes of the Blade Runner 2049 V1 and Blade Runner 2049 V2 regrades, as well as Interstellar and two Blade Runner The Final Cut V2 releases has had him uploading close to non-stop these last two weeks.

The plan is to upload a 9GB Thor Ragnarok regrade using the currently available WEB-DL, removing the blanket yellow tint, and then making the 22GB release of Blade Runner The Final Cut V2 available as a public torrent. That way, all the Blade Runner releases will be available as 23GB releases. Then he’ll take a break for a bit while I work on other releases. In terms of helping with the distribution side of things, his help has been invaluable, I couldn’t continue to do these releases without him.

Huh? 😮

Yeah, I’m a bit confused.

To cut a long story short, I add the torrents to the usual place myself while the_magicman adds the torrents to another site. While I was away he continued adding torrents to that other site but nobody was adding the torrents to the usual place. As soon as I got back, the usual site was down so I wasn’t able to add the new torrents until the site came back up an hour ago.

The torrents are now all up at the usual site so apologies for the delay and enjoy! Send me a PM if you want to know where the other site is.

Just for the record, I prefer the V1 Blade Runner 2049 release over V2 but there was substantial interest in both so both were made available as 23GB versions.

An important thing to point out about the 23GB Blade Runner 2049 releases, the_magicman (i’ll call him TM from now on for the sake of brevity) had to use 64MB piece size with the 23GB torrents to get them to upload properly. utorrent does not support torrents with 64MB piece size, so you’ll have to use other bittorrent clients to download those releases. thanks

The latest T2 remastered blu-ray has been massively DNRed so I’ve got no plans to create a new release, the blu-ray I used for my current T2 release looks much better IMHO.

kk650's Regraded Interstellar V2 (blanket yellow tint removed from blu-ray) (Released)
Time

I’ve just uploaded a V2 regrade of Interstellar to Myspleen. The release is 23.12 GB and includes the DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 audio track from the blu-ray.

With this V2 release I have gone ahead and removed all the blanket yellow tint across the whole film. I now feel that the film is far more pleasing to the eye, removing the blanket yellow tint brings all the other colours in the film back to life, making it a lot more enjoyable to watch. Also included are the chapter timings taken straight from the official blu-ray.

I’m interested in a V2 original aspect ratio-

thanks

The IMAX release is my prefered aspect ratio for Titanic, I like my whole screen being filled up with no black bars on the top or bottom, it makes the film a lot more immersive for me.

There would have to be significant interest in such a 2.34:1 ratio regraded release of Titanic for me to consider creating it, the 2D blu-ray has different colours and image dynamics to the 3D blu-ray so in terms of regrading it i’d have to start from scratch.

I’ve just uploaded The Sound of Music to Myspleen. The release is 23 GB and includes the DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 audio track from the blu-ray.

Also included is a Commentary Track with Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Charmian Carr, choreographer Dee Dee Wood & Johannes von Trapp (Maria von Trapp’s youngest child) as well as an Orchestral Track with Commentary by Director Robert Wise. Chapters timings from the blu-ray have also been included.

With this release I have gone ahead and removed the blanket yellow tint across the whole film to bring all the other colours back to life, in particular the blues.

kk650's Regraded Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones V3 (blanket green tint removed from blu-ray) (Released)

ZaneFlare92 said:

Hey kk650, very happy to see the V3’s of the PT complete. I absolutely love the new regrades. The Prequels look better then ever. I have a question which is a curious one. Beforehand you went the 1920x828 for 1 & 3, all the OT is 1920x824, and 7 & RO 1920x804. Now comes where my curiosity comes in. I notice when minimizing the full screen for the new AOTCV3 I noticed the black bars. Previously AOTCV2 was 1920x820 which is close to the 828 of the PT. I checked the properties for V3 and you went on full 1080p well technically 1088p according to the properties. So will it be like this for the rest of the series moving forward or just something you’re trying for AOTC ?

Attack of the Clones was left at 1088p because that was the resolution of the german hdtv transport stream and when I tried to remove the black bars, even just slightly to 1080p, it would affect the colours negatively for some reason, I was getting nicer colours from leaving it at 1088p so that’s what I ended up doing, encoding V3 at 1088p to get the best colours possible.

For all the other Star Wars releases I just crop the top and bottom black bars as much as I can and compare screencaps between the official blu-ray and regrade to make sure the ratio is exactly the same and there is no vertical stretching, so all future Star Wars releases are going to have the black bars cropped as well, Attack of the Clones was a one off due to the peculiarities of the source.

Hope it will be the 23gb, would be a great christmas present 😃

The new Revenge of the Sith V3 23GB release was an early Christmas present for everybody on Myspleen along with the new V3 prequel releases, The Force Awakens and Rogue One.

If you don’t have access to Myspleen, The Sound of Music and It (2017) are your Christmas presents and they’re not available on Myspleen. I’ve got you all covered this Christmas, wouldn’t want anybody feeling left out 😃

Many thanks will it be the 9GB or 23GB file?

Any Star Wars releases put up as a public torrent will start as 5GB release and if the interest is there, i’ll put up larger releases. All the latest 23GB regrades for all 8 Star Wars films are up on Myspleen.

kk650's Regraded Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones V3 (blanket green tint removed from blu-ray) (Released)
Time

I’ve just uploaded Attack of the Clones Version 3 to Myspleen. The release is 23 GB and includes the DTS-HD Master Audio 6.1 audio track from the blu-ray.

With this V3 release of Attack of the Clones, the german high quality hdtv transport stream has been used as the main video source because it has much more grain and overall detail in comparison to the very waxy looking DNRed official blu-ray release. I have also regraded the film to remove the constant blanket green tint found throughout the whole blu-ray. Removing the constant blanket green tint also has the effect of increasing the heat of the lightsaber cores, making the lightsaber fights feel more intense.

The fleshtones of the blu-ray have also been adjusted to be consistant with the other V3 Prequel releases and the latest Semi-Specialised Editions.
