Sounds good to me! After viewing the files tonight I agree with his choices as well.
Sounds good to me! After viewing the files tonight I agree with his choices as well.
Give me a day or two and I'll check out the links when I have a bit more time. IMO the light sabers cold use a little tweaking from before but not too much.
Thank you sir! Looking forward to watching as well as the others in the original trilogy as well! Keep us posted on the DTS soundtracks as well! I know you will and have other projects in the wings too but just wanted to throw that out there. :)
Have a great weekend and thanks again!
fantastic! Can't wait to see it! :-). Thank you!
sounds awesome, this is a great time to be a SW fan, with your project, team -1s project, Harmy's, Adywan's, and then the Force Awakens by year end! :-)
I'm a total novice myself and remuxed the file on handbrake, my first time using the software. I muxedthe audio into ac3, stereo at 640 kbps. For the video I set it up in the mkv container via high level 4.1. I changed the quality level to to 14 (0 is lossless) and I got a file size comparable to the raw file...roughly 22 gobs and now the file plays flawless in my home theater on both my kdlinks media player as well as my sony blu ray player. Hope everyone else gets theirs to work as well! I will say that the end scene is still a bit corrupted with the falcon.
Glad to see you back! Sorry I'm guilty as anyone for not lending more verbal support for your project but as for my opinion yes I definitely appreciate your corrections and am happy if you go ahead and lock the settings in. While I am not a professional by any means at this type of thing, I can say that I prefer your settings over how the blu rays look. Your settings give the image that look of being projected by an older projector with the older style bulbs which give it that warmer feeling. Really look forward to the larger file size format with the DTS soundtrack when you get that finished! Happy new year in advance!
Just thought I would check in to see how things were going with your project and if it might be on hold? Been awfully quiet! ;-)
How's the project coming along? :-)
Again it sounds fantastic and look forward to your new versions. I'll be patient and wait until you can fix up the DTS soundtracks with hopefully the larger format in the future. Take all the time you feel you need!
Wonder if this paying gig involves Ep VII.
Good God man those new screenshots are beautiful! Looking forward to this as well as the other two films! Were you able to get the cinema DTS for all 3 films?
Just out of curiosity where can we find these to view? Sounds interesting as I've always had a personal interest in something like this.
Wait a sec...so hh's lossless files are sourced from lossy files? That being the case it's not a true representation of a lossless file. All it's doing , besides the obvious of holding up finalization of your project, is bloating the audio files even further with no added benefit of truly providing superior audio.
That being said, I would as others have mentioned go ahead with the authoring of your bd and releasing the mkv. I have watched 2.1 at home, and I do have a higher end system to listen on and my personal experience has been nothing short of phenomenal. Given that we are listening to lossy files as is, please bear in mind that they're higher bitrates than mp3's. just my 2 cents since I know you're anxious to move forward from this so you can give ESB and ROTJ more attention. :)
I've been wondering that lately myself! While I don't come close to holding the skills required, I would rather enjoy a color corrected set of the blu releases.
Hey Harmy I was curious how the rendering is coming along on the 2.5 mt2s file that your blu is going to built upon? Keep up the great work!
Hey -1 like all the others I'm very interested in an invite to the new blog when it's ready. You're making Star Wars exciting for me again!
I just watched this and PG this evening....wow! I love the "film" experience this provides right down to the soundtrack! Really delivers a grind house-style feel. Have to say that watching these and Harmy's 2.0 releases I am finally enjoying the movies for the first time on over 20 years again.
Have to kind of agree with Harmy though that an HD release of PG and PSB would look even better as mpg2 has a difficult time managing all the film grain, etc. all in all great job!
Since this is spreading throughout the torrents as Harmy mentioned, is it best to try out TPB later this weekend instead of trying to get an MS account? My internet at home won't be hooked up until tomorrow (I'm typing this at work) and I want 2.0 to be the first thing I go for when it's hooked up! :)
Hey dj what sony player do you have? Mine does play mkv and it's this year's model. Is yours older possibly?
Happy Belated Harmy! I've been "offline" for the last couple of weeks moving and my internet isn't slated to be installed in my new house for two more days so I'm anxiously waiting on this download!
In any case I hate to be another one of the late crowds asking but is it possible to get an invite from someone for MS? Very much appreciated in advance.
And Harmy, those screenshots actually left me every bit as impressed as I was the first time I saw these movies in the theater as a child. Thank you for a job so well done!
Wow! Just looking at those frames even on my iPad look great! Really looking forward to your releases more and more!
After anonymously reading the forum the last few weeks I finally decided to create an account and applaud you for the effort in bringing Star Wars back to the fans in hi def. I read that ESB is already preserved, is there another site or index where we can follow the progress, if any, involved in that film?
