How large is this file going to be? Should I order some 50gb discs?

I see we’re all still ignoring Callista.
Actually, “the one where Luke falls in love with a computer” is one of my favorite things to casually reference when talking to friends who weren’t into the EU.
It seems given Luke’s status in the ST that if they ever brought back Mara they’d need to scrap everything after they got married at the end of Hand of Thrawn. I think that would be very workable, though. There’s plenty of OT-era stuff before she even met Luke, and they didn’t even become romantically involved until the very end of the Bantam era.
I think it’s also worth noting that JawsTDS’s recent GOUT upscales come with lossless PCM versions of the 93 mixes rather than the lossy versions that comes with the DE. If you really want the 93 mix, I’d recommend downloading that and mixing it into the Harmy MKV.
I always figured that the Kaminoans who don’t actually work at the oil rig live underwater. Mostly because of the one guy who flies the pterodactyl/manta ray thing out from the ocean.
Maybe it’s just because I’m too young to remember a time before the conventions of the EU were well-established, but the idea that so many people seem to find the Hutts as a species controversial is kind of baffling to me. I always thought that the concepts of Hutt Space and Nal Hutta and Nar Shaddaa and all the feuding clans were some of the more solid stuff to come out of the extracinematic material.
So burn it to a disc when it comes out.
I’d love to see those as well.
EDIT: wait, are these just the studio character portraits that are bouncing around everywhere already, or is this actual production stuff?
Worth noting here: the bar I play trivia at has a beer called the Sun Crusher, and I can never resist ordering one whenever I’m there solely due to the Star Wars connection. Luckily, it’s pretty good.
Here’s something I’ve been wondering about for a little while: Wookieepedia’s list of Star Wars audio productions includes unabridged versions of many of the Legends books in addition to the heavily abridged ones that are much easier to come by. After some googling, I learned that these editions are called Talking Books, and were recorded with blind or vision-impaired people in mind. My question is, where the hell do you get these? I’m able to listen to audiobooks day in and day out at work, and I’d love to burn through some of the older Star Wars stuff I missed back in the day, but the regular audio versions are so heavily edited as to be borderline worthless.
Spent much of this weekend catching up on comics. I don’t understand the big deal people seem to be making over the new Darth Vader series, but I liked the Star Wars/Doctor Aphra crossover arc The Screaming Citadel quite a lot. Aphra has really become one of my favorite characters overall at this point.
Also, two more comics were announced at SDCC: a Mace Windu miniseries (yawn) and an adaptation of Zahn’s Thrawn (which I’m sure will be neat, but I’d rather a new story with Thrawn and Vanto).
Leisurely working my way through . . .
Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn might be my favorite high fantasy series of all time, and it’s delightful and very moving to go back to that world and check in on those characters decades later. I’m deliberately taking my time with this one and savoring it.
I definitely hope this doesn’t go the route of all that Force ghost stuff that was discussed a little earlier. I’d rather have the R word forever and ever if the price of originality is retconning the OT beyond recognition.
Lumpy has already turned up in one of the nuEU novels. At this rate, I bet Itchy will be a playable character in Battlefront II.
Kind of pissed we didn’t get to see The Knights of Ren though.
I suspect that training clip with Daisy defending herself against several enemies at once is KoR-related. It is indeed a bummer we didn’t see them in costume, though.
I’m loving these new creatures. Also, “the first film didn’t even have a number.” You’re all right, Anthony.
I picked up The Last Guardian, Skyrim, and Battlefield 1 yesterday. I’m definitely going to savor The Last Guardian; Shadow of the Colossus was one of my favorites from back in the day and I want this to last a while. I was also absolutely delighted to find that Battlefield 1 has a Lawrence of Arabia campaign.
I remember Bounty Hunter well, I played it on GameCube when it came out. I’ll definitely be revisiting it at some point.
Hey all,
After a decade plus of not keeping up with video games, I bought a used PS4 on a whim when I went to pick up my comics yesterday. I grabbed Battlefront when I got the thing because Star Wars, but I’m looking to snag another game or two on my way home from work tonight to start filling out my library (everything I’m interested in seems to cost a hell of a lot more on Sony’s app store than a physical copy would, so I’m shooting for stuff I can easily find at Target or Best Buy). I’ve got the BioShock trilogy, which I used to noodle around with on my college roommate’s PS3, on order at Amazon, but it’s not expected to ship for at least a month. I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for immersive adventure games and/or shooters, maybe something a little older so it won’t be that expensive. I tend to skew scifi/fantasy with these things; I don’t at all care for the Modern Warfare flavor of shooter, but I can also get into something historical like Battlefield 1 (which I’m going to wait for the price to come down on before getting). Right now I’m leaning toward Skyrim, but I’m open to suggestion.
Finally just sat down to take a look at ESB, and it’s really remarkable. I’ve always thought this was the worst looking one of the three in raw GOUT form, and I’m floored by how much you’ve managed to do with it.
I think the second one had more interesting stuff going on, but the execution was definitely messier. I’d like to revisit those myself, but I just don’t like to devote that kind of time to a video game anymore.
Taking a look at ANH on my TV now. This is really lovely.
It would be so great if they did a really violent and macabre episode about Doctor Aphra. I know it’ll never happen officially, but maybe a fan will do it.
I have FINALLY finished my custom Blu-Ray Covers:
Any plans to do disc labels to go with these? I’d like to use the covers for JawsTDS’s new GOUT upscales and I want to make sure there isn’t “official” disc art on the way before I set about tracking down labels that match.
The Lando comic was already pretty Lobot-heavy anyway. I doubt they’d want to devote much screentime to him in this after already telling his story elsewhere.
