man, even a re-edit of BR(1) would be awesome to incorporate *SOME* of the DC footage (i prefer the non-DC) and maybe cut out some of the slower scenes and keep it intense.
anyways, yeah - i was going to say that the PAL DVDs are probably (?) better quality than the LDs...
also, mike patton (fantomas) does an awesome cover of twin peaks/fire walk with me. not sure you want to use it for this project, but it is awesome nonetheless.
i can see a huge potential in that site - it's too bad about the bad blood between that and OT.com as it is obvious the two could compliment each other nicely.
i like how the CBB projects are presented (info) and hope that the other faneditors (sp?) offer as much information for their work ( ADigitalMan, Spence, WMGan, Dark_Jedi, etc. )
it's a lot more enjoyable to read a nicely formatted and presented page then read a 60+ page thread, ya know?
really, building empire was so awesome i think only expansion could help R.T.J - i wouldn't retract or change any methods that you used for B.E. although, i think that the O.T. versus S.E. stuff shouldn't be in the main feature - although a bonus (branching?) would be cool. perhaps a presentation on the changes to the film over the years would be warranted.
NTSC is a big plus for sure. lots of people in the US actually CAN play PAL, but the players are usually crappy.
also, a DVD9 (or two disc DVD5 set, whatever) would be preferred to "fitting" everything in. i'd rather have everything in the best quality (and i'd imagine you would, too)
