Those who use facebook can see the trailer (plus some brand new pictures)now through the new Revisited saga page.
It's also been uploaded to youtube too but it's taking forever to process, but i'll post the link to the youtube version as soon as its finished.
I'll upload the new pics here as soon as i can
EDIT: YOUTUBE LINK
Nice! Looks pretty damn good.
A teeny observation, you used the sound effect of luke's saber igniting from the 2004 SE and from ROTJ. Please don't use that sound in the actual film, it doesn't really fit.
But overall, this is turning out to be pretty sweet.

This thread was obviously meant to be a joke after the second page, guys.

Ok, I've changed my mind about 2001 now. I like it again :)

No way. It would have been brilliant, not... creepy and boring like Spielberg's.
HAVE YOU SEEN 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY ??? THAT ENDING WAS RATHER BORING.
Boring?!?! That movie is a masterpiece!! I've seen it several times, and it was never boring at all!
I wouldn't say that the ending is boring, but it is an ending that I can't get. It's too convuluted for me.Dave travels in his pod to the giant floating monolith, which is actually a stargate, and gets transported a million light years to some interstellar zoo. There in the zoo the aliens observe him, watching him age through the years, before transforming him into some kind of elevated space god.
Of course, I had to skim through the actual book to get the actual meaning behind the ending.
Wow, I never would have gotten that from the film. But it was entertaining.
That's the great thing about 2001, that's only one interpretation of the ending. And just because it's in the book doesn't mean it's any more true. Kubrick and Clarke wrote the book and movie at the same time, and IMHO Kubrick was the one with the genius. Not to rob Clarke of any glory, I'm just saying Kubrick could have and did have other things in mind than an "alien zoo".
It wasn't really an alien zoo. It was sort of like an alien lab or something run on automation, carefully constructed from monitored television transmissions, and designed to make him feel at ease before it got to work turning him into the star-child
it's uber awesum.
;)
What a twist!

Could you slow down the cuts a bit? It goes a little fast
Didn't adywan go to see one and lucasfilm caught on or something?

Pretty much...
AND films that are a great deal older than the OOT have also been nicely remastered. What the hell Lucas??? What the hell??

SW, like most of us here, has been a very important part of my life for decades now. I won't get into the whole story, but I had a really rough time growing up and the SW movies were an escape for me...I also have very fond memories of bonding over SW with people who have since passed away. So when people say they are "just movies", well, to some of us they are not because of all of the nostalgia we have attached to them. From a more artistic point of view, SW was groundbreaking for its time and was one of the greatest achievements of human culture...whether you like it or not, you cannot deny its impact on the world.
This, this, and this. Well put!
And this is why it should have never been given the treatment GL has given it over the last 15 years. It's equivalent to Da Vinci burning the Mona Lisa. Does Lucas even understand that he is the only person to alter his movies and suppress the real versions from the public? I guess not talking to anyone who criticizes your actions disconnects you from reality. Too bad Kate Lucas is following in her father's footsteps: it would mean the originals would be suppressed long after GL's death.

Even though the special editions were the ones I grew up with
*makes frink feel old gif*
My father would force (well, not force..) us to watch the Original-Original versions to show that it was important to see what the films looked like before they were changed. We ended up wearing out the VHS but I'm glad he did that. It really gave me an appreciation for film and preserving film.

... 1990s sci-fi film, heavily laden with CGI special effects but enjoyable and entertaining nonetheless.
See also Independence Day (1996), Starship Troopers (1997) and Men in Black (1997).
Discuss.
Nah.
Independence Day is cheesy and stereotypical, but a giant pile of silly fun. It's got Willi Schmidt, Jeff Nerdbloom and a wacky Jew with a beard, for Christ's sake.
Men in Black... WHAT? You troll (and forum administrator).
You should add that 'Lost in Space' Remake to the heavily laden cgi list
*mutters* Although I do like that film more than TPM *mutters*
Quick! Someone show them Harmy's despecialised edition!!!
Or Adywan's Revisited
Or (Name of equally awesome fan edit/Preservation)

I don't remember now.
Hmm. Never heard of it. Is it a good film?
That's probably why he didn't get the part. Lucas didn't want actors to think for themselves. He just wanted puppets, basically

Woo hoo! I love this film. :)
How about adding ani's 'Boom!' instead of the 'yippee!'
