That fact that a really great creative mind like Whedon's is making an adaption of another franchise annoys me...

A creative mind that wrote some very well recieved comics. Its not an adaptation, he's as close as you'll get to the creator adapting his art in another form.

It probably get cancelled after 14 episodes though, 3 of which won't air.
