Funny, I was just thinking about that the other day. Most of the other directors and filmmakers interviewed in Side By Side, if not all of them, didn't have props or imagery of their films in the background or next to them. They were there to just talk shop about filmmaking and digital vs. celluloid.

Lucas apparently stipulated that the only way he would grant Neo an interview was if there were ever so subtle reminders that Lucas created SW placed all over the frame.

Violent Video Games

I think violent video games are almost completely harmless and just a scapegoat. But, like any other violent entertainment form (e.g. movies), they certainly do raise a bit of concern for how we desensitize and entertain ourselves.

I remember when games like Doom, Heretic, or Rise of the Triad were controversial. Better technology means more realism.
