Do you mean the original Japanese DVD? That would be cool, but if I recall correctly, it's jewel case-sized and not armaray case-sized, so the artwork would have to be altered.



Don't worry about it, I can make a cover with whtever source material.

There is progress, as I've said before this will be a duel layer dvd, The film will be offered with 2 choices the UK and The US version, I would check out the UK version first. I don't have any special features as yet, and I don't have the trailer, which I would love to include. If anyone has a copy please let me know.

I agree, in looking over the film for editing I think that as much as possible of the lynch version should be used. There's too much wallpapering of music on the smithee version.

Not overkill at all, I think that would be great. One comment though, since you're going to do that, would it not also make senSe to have the logo removed from the print of the film? Otherwise I don't think most people would split hairs over the quality when compared.


I'm not releasing it. I'm just doing it for me. If someone out there wanted copies, I could send it over 2 DVD-R discs but after this, I'm done with Blade Runner.

There won't be any room for any other soundtracks beyond what's going to be on there. And to be honest, from what I heard I had no problem with it.

If someone sent me the "new" scenes without the logo, I'd be fine with inserting them. If no one is working on it, I honestly don't care enough. I wasn't one of the ones complaining.


Fair enough, and again the print that you have released and taken the time to put together is great. So thank you very much, again.

I have just gotten my hands on some production stills that I was thinking of turning into a photo montage with music. I thought about an info track but that could take too long to make.

Mitch, you said earlier that you had the US theatrical trailer to If.... I am very interested in getting my hands on it for this project (you will of course recieve credit and my thanks). I've sent you PMs in regard. If your offer is withdrawn for whatever reason thanks anyway, but please let me know. Cheers.

I agree that the acting in most of the deleted scenes are not great. I feel that even though the extended opening acting is not great, we really need more expisition to help us roll along (just as the lord of the rings opening help set the tone). other then that I don't think most of those deleted scenes fit. I think the death of Jamus is a great moment to complete the scene from the extened version of the film. I don't feel that the Shadout Shouts bit works or fits if it were added in. The only other scene I would say that should probably be added is the death of thufar.

I think that this thread is still within boundaries of Rule #4 because it's my understanding that this DVD is OOP in Japan, but if I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
