1) Does anyone actually care about the new show anyway?  I was under the impression it was worse than the prequels.

From the few episodes that I've seen (apart from that god-f**king-awful "Clone Wars" movie....), the series is pretty decent and several of the episodes that focus off of the main characters (the Clonetroopers, Anakin's appretice teamed with that female Jedi, Kit Fisto hunting Grevious) are very good. I think the two biggest problem that the series is that:

1. By it's nature, it has to maintain the terrible plotpoints that were introduced in EP2 (Anakin/Padme secret marriage, etc) and many of the Jedi characters that we meet in the show is ultimately meaningless since they will all die before/during EP3.

2. This show still doesn't hold a flippin candle to the excellence of Genndy Tartakovsky's "Clone Wars" miniseries.

the problem with the series i think is there is no bad guy to actually kill
there is grievous who we all know is killed by obi then ventress who is
a character who's end is "described in the EUwho COULD be killed but
filoni "respects" the EU so thats a no-go but we have Bad Brain (Cad Bane)
who has no connection to the EU (yet) or the other movies sohe can be killed

how did u pronounce the character's names?

DarkFather Said:

No. I did, comparably, go around spelling "Gandalf" from Lord of the Rings "Gandelf." I blame it on Frodo's strange pronunciation of Gandalf's name in Fellowship.

its most commonly gandelf gone-dolf or gone-delf

I find the Revisited crawl text to be too orange for my taste. I don't like where Adywan chose the music cues to happen either, I liked it to happen right at the title of the movie, not right at the episode number.

I like the color of the text in the ROTJ crawl and I like the timing of the music in the ROTJ crawl too. The blue stars have got to go though. I'm guessing it is the same in ESB, but I'm too lazy to check. I was hoping I could fix this myself, but learning how to use After Effects is taking me a lot long than I was hoping.

Coming from the '04 DVDs, it looks like ESB is quite a bit oranger than ROTJ. It also has the awful blue stars.

not agreeing with the color thing i just pointing out that the ESB and ROTJ crawls are flatter

i find this Revenge OTJ draft ending interesting

"Vader grabs the Emperor from behind, fighting for control of the robed figure despite the Dark Lord's weakened body and gravely weakened arm. The Emperor struggles in his embrace, his bolt-shooting hands now lifted high, away from Luke. Now the white lightning arcs back to strike at Vader. He stumbles with his load as the sparks rain off his helmet and flow down over his black cape and falls to his knees, dropping his evil master to the floor.

Luke staggers to the side of Vader and helps his father to his feet.

LUKE

Father? Do you remember your words to me on Bespin?

Vader glances nervously at the Emperor, who is working his way to his feet.

VADER

(surprisingly benign) Of course, my son.  How could I forget? To rule the galaxy as father and son.

Luke nods, outstretching his hand. Vader's saber flies up to it. He then hands it to Vader's remaining hand.

LUKE

(igniting his lightsaber) Let's finish it, father.

The dazed Emperor staggers to his feet. Vader ignites his saber and joins Luke facing the Emperor.

EMPEROR

You fools. Do you really believe yourselves to be any match for the power of the dark side? (raising his hands again) You will join your rebel friends in death.

A volley of blue lightning, with even greater fury than the preceding, erupts from the Emperor's hands. Facing two Jedi, he is far less effective. Like predators, Vader and Luke slowly progress towards the Emperor. The Emperor tries to avoid them, but his feeble body was no match for the power of the Jedi'.  Palpatine desperately wished for a lightsaber, but tried to use his Force-lightning on the boys that he had each once called his young apprentices. They simply bat it away with their lightsabers and continue their advance. Some of the Force lightning attracts itself to Luke's hands, which are curled around his lightsaber, and he viciously bats it away. He swings ferociously, and feints and parries the lightning like an expert.

Quickly, the master of the darkside finds himself backed against a railing, and behind him, an abyss leading to the main reactor core. Screaming in rage, the Emperor blasts Vader with an unexpected volley of bolts and drops him to a knee. With that opening, Luke brings his lasersword down across the shoulder of the Emperor. Shrieking, he turns his attention to the young Skywalker who is raising his blade, preparing fo another strike. Vader is also now back to his feet.

No longer blocking and parrying, both Skywalkers, father and son, have their lightsabers raised high above in a manner quite similar to Obi-Wan in the first film. The pounding dark energy has seemed to have lost all effect on the two Jedi. In a synchronous manner, they both bring their blades down on the cowering Emperor.

With a thrust, Vader dives forward and swiftly dumps the corpse of the Emperor down the reactor shaft below. Blue waves of Dark Side energy surround them both, as the Emperor's body slowly disintegrated into the dust it was made of.  Looking like twin specters, the black-clad duo silently watched the dangerous array of Dark Side energy shift and twirl around them.

Vader collapses to the ground, his strength lapped. He sits there panting, smoking, and sparking, overcome by the barrage of dark energy. Luke crawls to the side of his fallen father and props him up at his side."
