Cut the Ewok vs. Empire stuff, add Rebels vs. Empire stuff. This way there's no shoved-in extra plot line that leads to nowhere the film doesn't already go and would make for a more believable and action packed ground battle.
The reason we were trying to go with bothans was because of mon mothmas line in the briefing, I personally do not mind NOT having this scene.

Actually, the whole TPM battle score is full of variations of DOTF, that includes the space battle, ground battle, and destruction of the federation control ship.
also there is choir in ROTJ when the strike team are subitting the security code for shield passage, also Endor already has a theme, the parade of the ewoks/forest battle.
And a bit off topic, apparently, the revised Sail Barge cue (not the alternate) may have been ghostwritten by Fred Steiner, who composed the scores to several episodes of Star Trek (and some cues from the first movie)!
There used to be a guy who had isolated scores of the OT including ROTJ on youtube at some point, but he seems to have dropped off the edge (he had a link to here though, he may have been a member...)
