OK So what extras that were available on DVD did not get ported over to the Blu-rays for T1 and T2? there are not that much for T1, but were there some missed for T2, while we are at these we may as well port over all missing(or at least try) extras from both releases, also was there any Isolated Score on any of the releases for these 2 films?

Thanks

The skynet has all the extras bar the guns and roses video from the laserdisc, but I have that ripped along with the trailers if you need it

Well we already compared the T2 releases and we decided this version is better of them all, but please share your thoughts anyways.

Well we are getting some not so good comments and the Blu-ray Forum lol, we are now worse then Lucas, here is a quote from HDvision,

"These shots are ridiculous. If you like the video look, keep the old Blu-release. You are destroying the original look, I hope you are conscious of it, you're worse than Lucas. You want the movie too look like the bad transfer you are used to. It's all wrong."

We have dialed back the red a little more and I will post new teaser screens soonish.

Warned you about that place! They are armchair encoders without knowing anything about it!

The green/white screen thing shows how bad the transfer was

They are DNR defender's and Cameron fanboys, HDvision will always defend the terminator disc as perfect

Please share your thoughts on our teaser color screens on the previous page, thanks.

Damn, that is good work! I would personally dial yellow up a little as they look a little on the pink side. Mine you I would be more than happy with the version, I hate the teal carp the shoved our way.

But it looks more like the Terminator than a "professional" studio managed

Just out of curiosity, what was the picture and sound quality of the HD version theatrical cut that came with the "Extreme" DVD release? As this was in 2003, it was only playable on a PC. Can it still be played today?

I cannot find my disc, it was a few years back.

It is not fantastic and it suffers from poor grain retention due to a low bit rate

?

I have this one. The picture is more natural compared to the Ultimate Edition which features heavy contrast boosting and Edge Enhancement. I have listened to the mix a few times and compared it in the past and it seems a little quieter than other releases from memory, but not sure of the specifics. The first release Region A blu-ray is also a lot quieter than the later T2 blu-ray releases, and my HD-DVD sounds (to my ears) the same as the latest T2 blu-rays.

That is the one that has a different mix and was rumoured to be the CDS mix

Blu-ray forum ugh! sorry, they are sheep on the whole.

But yes is is the best of a bad bunch but not by a lot, I would aim for a 1:1 encode on the video tho as all the advantages will be lost if not.

Have you tried syncing the "CDS" track yet? I cannot for the life of me get it to lock in. I am in the process of ripping the Dolby surround track from the first LD

Do not worry at all about the video, it will look good, we will lose nothing in what we do.

I have not tried yet but it is all ready to go.

I have nothing but faith and am looking forward to it

There is also this rare pressing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Terminator-2-Judgment-Day-1991-NTSC-LBX-AC3-CAV-THX-LD68952-2DD-Laserdisc-/380610073487?pt=US_Laserdisc&hash=item589e20d38f

There are also the Japanese squeeze versions that both had AC3.

I've never heard any of them.

One of the last lasers I wanted, I want the squeeze discs but they are expensive.

The hi-vision disc was said to contain the original mix, but not worth the cost of finding out!

Oh, and THIS too: http://math.berkeley.edu/~berlek/pubs/cds.pdf

:O I love that!

I saw it in CDS and nothing has lived up to it on any format for T2! I am 70% Sure Days of Thunder is the CDS mix (and is a stunning mix also) and Edward Scissorhands may be also, but I am less sure on that.
