Matinee (HDTV2DVD) (Released)
Time
I saw someone posting about this movie on another forum and I was inspired to resurrect this.

What exactly are the bonus features on the laserdisc, besides Mant? Was there a commentary or anything, and are these other things listed (Atomovision, Insects and X-Rays, The Great E-Mant-Cipator, Iprison-Mant, A thing Called Bill, Look out behind you! and The mant in the white suit) featurettes or something?

Idea & Info: Darkman II Director's Cut and TV Pilot
Time
I read that the pilot was good. Either way, if someone made the disc for the TV Darkman II, it would make a good bonus feature. Worth watching once, probably, if only for the curiosity value.

It's too bad they didn't get Bruce to star in the sequels. I'm sure Arnold Vosloo is a nice guy but there's probably nothing, especially no Sam Raimi property, that couldn't be improved with some Bruce.

Live Free or Die Hard: 4.0 Edit (Released)
Time
Funny, I thought "I ran out of bullets" was a bit lame. But you could easily include both.

The thing is if you watch it several of Bruce's "fuck" and "motherfuckers" are probably dubbed in after the fact -- don't worry, it's Bruce -- but still, it's kind of obvious. Like when Maggie Q falls down the elevator shaft -- I hope people who are reading this thread have seen the movie -- there is an added "Fuck you, bitch!" that detracts from his triumphant yell a moment later.

And I'm really nitpicky, but I also am not a huge fan of the "motherfucker" at the end, the big one -- I think you could easily dub in a louder, more enthusiastic "motherfucker" from one of many of Bruce's movies and it would be better. But these are just suggestions. It will probably all mean more once you've seen the Unrated version.

Live Free or Die Hard: 4.0 Edit (Released)
Time

So, I just finished watching the Unrated version, which is of course not out until Tuesday so any real work on this would have to wait until it’s officially on the shelves, but I wanted to put it out there. I don’t have any editing tools myself, but I wouldn’t be averse to learning, either, if anyone wants to offer their help.

In any case, the Unrated is much more than just added salty language here and there, it is a fairly alternate cut of the film. Now, some of the language that’s been “reinstated” is clearly alternate takes, but I think Fox went back to the dubbing studio and overdid it a little, not to mention a few of the things I liked about the theatrical version are missing. What I want to do is create an edit that covers the best of both worlds, which seems like it would be fairly easy. Again, I have no editing tools myself, and even if I did this would be my first time, but I could easily either take direction from someone else on how to do it or provide a list of what I think could be changed for the release.

If anyone is interested, let me know – although, again, it might be understandably until Tuesday and everyone else has gotten a chance to see the Unrated version before I hear back.

Info Wanted: Is this someone's 'Howard the Duck' project?
Time

There are too many Howard the Duck presentations on this board for me to figure out which one it is but someone brought it up on another board, asking if it was legit and I figured if it’s from here someone definitely wants to know that this little site in the middle of nowhere is hawking your release.

Just a heads up.

It's pretty interesting though, 'Mallrats' only came about because the title was withdrawn and when Smith asked why, they told him it was because they were going to re-issue a lot of their best-selling titles, and 'Mallrats' was among them. They also made it clear that they were going to release the set with or without his help. They've also said the same thing about 'Dogma' - It's up to him if he wants to participate, but they're going to release it regardless...
This cannot be entirely true seeing as Universal does not own Dogma. It is a co-production between Lionsgate and Columbia, and it was released through Sony, who controls the DVD rights. As plenty of people have said I imagine now that Smith has done his Clerks X and Mallrats 10th Anniversary discs that Sony will be willing to wait for Smith before cranking out another DVD set -- and given that they released Panic Room and Black Hawk Down, while it may be unneccessary, we might get a 3-discer again.

I imagine there isn't much in it, but I also was hearing about an American Pie workprint, and also a Hard Target workprint that restores a lot of John Woo action. And I would certainly be all over Darkman. I can't believe Universal hasn't done an SE with the TV show pilot, audio commentary and perhaps even as a "director's cut" with some of the deleted scenes Bruce mentions in his book restored given that Raimi has made Spider-Man into a huge franchise.

Oh but my laziness is undending and infinite.

So...the 2-disc torrent Reverend Beastly is talking about is or is not what I am looking for? Even if it isn't I probably want it...

Then just download it.
Well, I was trying to figure out if ReverendBeastly's is the workprint, which it seems it is, which means I still need the ABC cut from somewhere else.
