Indeed, many thanks to you! These kind of comments keep me continue my hobby!

EFNY re-encode is ready; but this time I'd like to watch it VERY CAREFULLY to be absolutely sure it is perfect; I think I'll begin to seed it this night, tomorrow at least.

What is wrong with the current one? I thought it was pretty much perfect as it is.

I am snagging 3 25GB Godzilla movies that have German/Japan audio .... Tokyo SOS, Giant All Out Monsters Attack, and 2000.

My question is this ..... does anyone have or is there English audio for 2000 because I believe the International version is extended?

I have that same Blu-ray and have been looking for an English track as this is the longer version. I have only been able to find English audio for the shorter version. I think the best we are going to be able to do is get an English sub track to go with the Japanese audio. That is what I am going to do with my copy.

I just snagged and watched this ..... very nice indeed.

Godzilla - Destroy All Monsters 1080p (1968)

Has the new restoration print.

Has the original video levels and color that matches the telecine. Not the video levels found on the out of print Blu-ray. (That is a good thing)

Original Aspect ratio

Resolution

1920x792

Audio

Has the Audio Options that are found on the out of print Blu-ray

New English Dub

Original English Dub

Original Japaneses Audio track.

New Commentary track

Subtitles are in English.

Size 25.5GB MKV H.264

Average 37mbits Video Encode

I haven't heard of this. Is this the recent official release or a fan edit?

It might be a re-encode of the out of print Blu-ray. It looks absolutely fantastic. Whoever re-encoded it fixed the black level and color. Highly recommended.

So I finally have the '77 version downloaded, and it's splendid - kudos to all involved!

Although if I did have to nitpick about something, it's that there's a slight bit of aliasing at least once in the film. But it's hardly noticeable. Come to think of it, there's a lot of motion smearing too, but that's just because it's an upscale.

I'll go burn it to a BD right now! Oh no, it's just half a gigabyte too large for my BD... what should I do now?

I though so too, but both discs burned and played fine for me. I used ImgBurn.

Finally getting around to watching this new custom Blu-ray and must say I am impressed. I own the official release from Fox and have found it painful to watch because of the strange contrast issues. What you have done here Andrea is nothing short of miraculous. The contrast and black level look nearly perfect now as does the color. Great job. Thank you so much for the hard work in putting this release together.

In case anybody is interested, the file dark_jedi got from me a few days ago is a new isolated score, which has been processed with some really great analog gear.  If you'll forgive my boldness in saying so, none of us have ever heard the music of Star Wars sound this good before, and I hope it will be a satisfying addition to this great release of the film.  :)

I'll be glad to give more specific details of what was done if anyone wants to hear about it.

Thanks for pointing this out. I will definitely give it a listen. I am a big fan of analog sound and would love to hear the process you used to put the isolated score together.

Just burned the 97SE and watching now. Dark Jedi said that far less time was spent on this version compared to the original. Still looks pretty darn good. Likely the best that this version of the film will ever look. The one thing that really impressed though, is the amazing Cinema DTS audio. It sounds great and transports me back to the theater when I watched the Special Editions. A nice menu and a couple of vintage extras make this a worthy addition to our Star Wars video collections.

SW77 is burned watching now on my Panasonic Blu-ray player. Amazing. I simply cannot believe that this comes from the non anamorphic DVD. How did you and you_too pull this much detail from it. I love the menu design. It is very professional. Best I have seen so far from Team Blu. Every thing seems to navigate fine on my hardware player. I checked out the before and after image gallery. Played fine and boy does it reveal the magic in this restoration. The covers are awesome but I have to figure out how I can print them as I don't have a printer. May have to buy one.:) This is a fine release and definitely worth the wait.

As both HDTV versions are pixel perfect, what I did is to color grading the one with no logo in the image, then I took the "patch" (rectangular) from it and overlaid it to the residual logo of the other one; simple, eh?

The final encoding is on its way right now; if all will go well (touching wood) the final release will be today or tomorrow!

Awesome. Looking forward to seeing the results.

The Wild Life 1984 *RELEASED*

I have this downloaded and have been watching. It is a wonderful movie similar to Fast Times. Has a wonderful 80's feel and soundtrack. The Team Blu release is very nice. I did a direct comparison to the original file that was used to make it and the Blu-ray has a better picture. It has better contrast and looks cleaner. The one thing that really stood out though is it doesn't seem to suffer from as much blockiness that is present in the original file. The 2.0 audio seems untouched and sounds fine. The menu is simple this time which I like and it has a nice extra. Great job Team Blu.

Forgot to ask: theatrical or special edition? If it's the latter - the one I prefer - if you, or someone else, could capture it, and send it to me, I hereby promise to make a [spoRv] version with both PCM and AC3 taken from laserdisc, bit-perfect... if you would like to see it, of course!

Sadly it is the theatrical version.

Yes and ironically on the Cinemax web sight it says it is the Director's Cut but the stated runtime matches the theatrical.

Private School 1983 *RELEASED*
Time

I feel very privileged to be one of the first to download this current and very nice release from Team Blu. I haven't fully watched this yet but can attest that it is a pretty darn awesome transfer of this classic comedy. As someone who saw the source file that was used to make the Blu-ray I can tell you the team has much improved the image with improved color, contrast and sharpness. It looks very film like with a nice layer of grain which adds to its retro origins. The 2 channel audio is also very nice with the dialog clear and mostly coming from the center speaker accept for the music which swells to all of the front speakers. The menu design is brilliant and perfectly compliments the movie. One final thing is the Blu-ray includes some very nice extras. You will get the trailers and an entire DVD copy of Private Lessons, which I have to admit, enjoyed even more than the main feature. Great job Team Blu.
