Very excited to see the dvd-5 in all its glory, once again thanks Adywan, you have given some real time, talent and effort to this. Just to set the record straight. I'm one of the "moochers" who asked for a copy of dvd-9 because I dont have a dual burner, I offered to contribute towards adywans hard drive regardless of whether he sent me a copy or not. I didnt get a reply to whether he wanted the cash (and how much) just a mention in his post here. Infact whilst Im 'fessing up , I'm the one who asked him to sign it also cause i thought it showed how much i appreciated his work. Im a musician and when people ask me to sign something ive created it means a lot to me.

Im not a total newbie, I discovered this site a little late. Ive made some posts but not that many too date. Adywan I offered to contribute to your hard drive regardless of whether you could send me out a copy. I offered three times, once on the forum in the threads, and never heard a reply. All times i said i would contribute regardless of whether you could send me one or not. I'm happy to do some PIF for the dvd-5 I just dont have the skills to install a dvd-9 drive so wont be able to get the best format of this when you release it. As a staunch supporter of you and your work (see my review a few pages back) I was a little suprised that my intentions have been so badly misinterpreted. It's probably my fault, Im not sure of the etiquette here, I apolagise and no offence was intended.

Adywan you have the perfect star wars, things I had thought might have been in Lucas' version (the faster duel etc) but never were. I will happily contribute to the Empire disc in anyway I can. (Can i say from the start that Lucas improved Cloud city looks fake and need some new texture work) Keep up the good work, I know the next one will be just as good. Sorry once again, the dvd-5 is more than enough.

I watched your 25 min upload

Im loving the stills you have withot jar jar. As for the preview I like the way it started. And I can feel the direction you are going with us having to find out HOW AND WHY we got to this point thru flashblback.

I didnt like the very sudden cuts though, Yoda talking about entering the temple and then 5 seconds later he is there fighting. Same with when he tells obi wan he isnt strong enough to take on sideous and straight after he is in front of sideous. Both these events need the illusion of the passage of time, in other words some other stuff being put inbetween.

Also you could lose the "younglins" line (i hate that word) and cut straight to obi wan just looking bewildered by seeing young dead people, yoda explains that they are padawans.

Im looking forward to seeing the rest. Have you considered finding some other way of showing its a flashback rather than the 13 years ago type font ? Hard i know...

Hope you dont take any of this as critiscsim cause i enjoyed it.

I have just watched the perfect version of STAR WARS, well done, it really felt like being a kid again when i saw it the first time. I LOVED the dogfight and the overdub of "biggs biggs", and the duel was spectacular in the cargo bay.

Ofcourse I feel I have to say something but its in no way a criticism. I wouldnt change any of the video at all ! The only thing I thought was that the music could have been mixed differently in the "conference scene, if you notice in the other conference scenes they just have little interludes of music, in the sme way, by fadiing in and out that new anakin "theme" the same effect could have been achieved. With a ful track it just felt a little different and overcrowded from the other conference room scenes later on.

Havig said that this is now my perfect version of A NEW HOPE. There wasnt once where i felt irritated as I have for years at the little things, as they've all been fixed !

I will contribute also to the hard drive fund, in goold old UK pounds, as Im fromt eh UK

Have people made artwork for the actual DVD disc sticker yet ?

A final question, do we now have a complete list of all changes that will be on tthe DVD versions? I know here is a list on page 1 but im not sure if it encompasses all the changes ?

Well the version i saw was on youtube, i thought it was very good but i didnt like the new jarjar humour (i mentioned the "stinking up the ship" jokes etc) or the whole slave trade angle, but other than that i thought it was a better cut, am i to presume that the father merrick cut is more faithful to the original movie ?

im intrestin the 4 hour emalgamation mentioned above, just trying to find a dvd quality avi/file of it

I thought hMagnolia's version was Balance of the Force and was the one with subtitled changes I mention above?

Will check out the version you mention with e four hour edit, is there a dvd qulity torrent anywhere?

Hi, Im interested if there is a general concensus on which fan re-edit is considered the best for the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones?

The only one Ive seen is The Balance of the Force re-edit which i thought wasvery good sadly i did think the reworkinbg of the subtitles just opened up new problems qhich equally annoyed me over the existing original version problems (“stink up the ship”, “sell the queen”, “butt” etc). Also the use of the word humans seemed out of place in a lot of the subs, Im not sure whether its ever beenmade cllear whether these races r infacr humans or just look like us (a galaxy far far away) Dont get me wrong this guy has been able to do stuff i owul dnever be able to do and his edting really helps the film, it feels more adult, arker and more brutal.

What are the other versions like? Is there an overall favourite ? Is there one that fixes the racist chinesecharacters, anakins immaturity etc but doesnt add new issues?
And i can never find any of these on torrents is there another way of getting trhem ?
