I made him put the "In The Teeth of Jaws" and Martha's Vineyard piece on one disc. That's what I'll be torrenting.

I recorded the From Page to Screen documentary myself so I'll be using my version. That will be disc 2 along with the trailers that weren't included in the 30th anniversary DVD edition but were on the original DVD, laserdisc and another one from VHS.

No. The first one will be the E! True Hollywood Story.

Nah, I never got anyone with a better source for that in-depth disc. I may torrent that so that the person who's selling them for $30 each will hopefully not be able to do that any more.

***//BUILDING EMPIRE\\: PAL & NTSC DVD - NEW EDITION NOW ONLINE! ***

Dude

Woah.

PAL to NTSC is MUCH much easier than that. I've done a ton of movies. Use TMPGenc. Don't go to AVI.

There's really no reason to do any of that.

Hell, you don't even have to convert the sound to a wav.

I could do the conversion of the main movie in one night if you want me to send it to you. 4gb. done. You take care of the menus.

So the video will have to be slowed down and the soundtrack replaced with the U.S. DVD 5.1 soundtrack (unless there's a way to flawlessly correct the sound (so it sounds exactly the same as the U.S. DVD) without replacing the soundtrack). But at least there won't be any German words on the screen fouling up the whole movie.

Agreed. Pal speed-up is teh suck.

I must say that the USA is unlucky not having widespread support for PAL in DVD players and TVs. I know the pros/cons of NTSC and PAL - but at least here in Australia basically all TVs and DVD players can do both NTSC and PAL.

Exactly.
In the US, most players won't play PAL discs...or play them incorrectly.
