work is still progressing. The hold-up is finding time to play each level 3 or 4 times to get the right visuals and audiobites, plus background music, before editing it all in Womble. That said, I'm probably about 80% done

OHMYFRIGGINGGOD!!!!!

For those of you in this fabulous community who watch it, and I'm sure there's many since there is a sense of impeccable taste here, will know what I'm talking about when I say that this season (day 5) of 24 is hands down the best since Day 1.

So why is there no thread for us to chat about it? (or Lost for that matter)

I'm in the UK and last year Day 4 was the only one I've actually watched as it was broadcast. The previous seasons I've bought the box sets, and watching it on 24 totally ruined it for me. What with the ad breaks, and only 1 episode a week!?! What's all that about?? I honestly don't know how people do it.

Anyway, I've been downloading it and me n the missus have been watchin it in 4 hours chunks. Tonight we watched eps 17-20, and just when I thought it couldn't get any better (or worse), it continues to blow me out of the water!

So who else is watching it? What dyou think of this season? And if this thread becomes popular, do we need to avoid spoilers?

I highly recommend using womble. you should be able to import the VOB files in, trim as required and export back out as VOB files

Since you seem to be a PT fan, I would highly recommend reading 'Cloak Of Deception' and 'Darth Maul: Shadow HUnter' followed by the TPM novelization. As someone who has nearly every EU book, this unofficial trilogy is one of my favourite PT EU

I'm having some real rpoblems with this project. Nero just freezes when it tries to transcode these files, so I need something to convert WMV or Divx files into MPEGs

Sorry, I should have made myself clear.

This is for the Lego collection I am putting together. Since I'm not doing anything fancy (cos I don't know how yet), I simply going to be drag'n'dropping into Nero which will take most WMV and AVI files, doing the coding itself I'm assuming, but not MOV files

Can anyone offer any advice on converting quicktime files into either WMV, AVI or other DVD compatible formats?

I Have a MOV to AVI converting program but am unsure of the best settings for it. Obviously I don't want to lose to much in the way of quality but I need the file sizes to be manageable too.

Fire away with your suggestions...

Kid A is my fave album. The Bends and OK Computer are total classics too, but they knowcked it out of the water with Kid A...still gives me tingles when I listen to it now
