trailer looked good guys, but then (and I'm not being detrimental) anyone can make a good looking trailer. Whilst I'm sceptical about how well this will turn out, I must say that shot of ROTJ Vader with ROTS Obi-Wan reflected in his eyes ("you were the chosen one") nearly made me cream my pants!

ideas!!

well, what we need mostly are shots that can be used to get from one scene to another, little scenes with no laugh track, efefcts shots and flashback scenes. Despite knowing pretty much every episode like the back of my hand, I only have series 7 in my possession (although ebay is my friend)

Something else I need to figure out, is just how to segue from one episode into the next without it weeming like, well two episode I suppose. I've highlighted a few scenes I can use, but they're from the un-extended episodes which means I've got the added problem of a laughter track!!

If I'm going with Lister then I see no need to involve Ace at all, but it dows unfortunatly mean I must include Kochanski, and since Rimmer's gone by then, I'm gonna need to work around that somehow

the way I see it theres basically three stores that would lend themselves best to becoming a 'movie':-

1) The loss of Red Dwarf - they lose it, look for it, find it...this would involve footage from seasons 5,6,7 & 8

2) The death of Rimmer - the whole Ace Rimmer storyline

3) The birth of Lister - this is the one I'm playing with, simply because I need less 'proper' footage from the previous video-shot episodes, but it does need to time drive to be introduced because this is how Lister places himself under the pool table

okay just thinking out loud here, one of my ideas so far is to have the scene where baby lister is found under the pool table as a pre-credits opener. after the credits then use the bulk of tikka to ride, I was thinking of starting it with listers attempts to explain the end of series 5 coupled with some flashbacks, but having got through Tikka To Ride, I thought maybe I could start the movie with Lister appearing inside JFK's riot van saying "I have a very strange tale to tell" and then show the rest of the episode...

any thoughts?
