"The Clones Revealed" (Released)

okay, the saber sounds work fine, thanks a lot Yancy, still need to swinging ones tho. The scream really didn't work for me but I've got some ideas on that one.

for those few who have watched the wip version, I'm concerned about the Obi-Wan/Dooku scene where Dooku taunts Obi with the truth. I have nothing at all to go in with this scene...is it best to just cut it?

hi all,

I'm on the scrounge again!!!

My renewed efforts on this project have had an unforeseen side-effect......I'm really, really enjoying myself again!! And am trying to push the envelope in several subtle ways...hence the scrounging. I'm after some 'clean' sound effects. I'm sure I could get them myself if I ripped all the SW movies to my HD and went through them all but hopefully someone here will already have what I need. I'm after:

A lightsaber being activated and de-activated, some saber hum and movement (swishes through the air etc), and some generic beast noises (preferably from Star Wars, but not recognisably from Episode II).....oh, and a Wilhelm!

Cheers all

Wow. This is amazing! The saga is almost complete:

Deleted Magic
Building Empire
Returning to Jedi

The Sith Revealed (whenever someone finally decides to torrent it; any takers?)
The Clones Revealed

How oddly... appropriate... that Episode I is left for last.

Good name and appropriate for Episode 1: The Menace Revealed.

I believe I have already reserved that name some time ago

If I did one for Episode I, I'd probably sneak in some audio from the Mike Nelson's Rifftrax version. You know, just to make a point.

Rifftrax version? what's that?

It's official....Star Wars no longer holds any mystery for me.

I've gone over the prequels frame by frame till I was blue in the face, I've seen bits of A New Hope I never knew existed thanks to Deleted Magic, I've watched in awe at how an Empire was built and now I've Returned to Jedi. The films I loved as a child, the films that held so much wonder for me, I've seen it all now, there's nothing left....

However, I'm not a child anymore. I'm a fully grown adult who loves behind the scenes footage and 2 discs DVDs just for the extras.... and I fricking LOVE Returning To Jedi!!!

Not that this is any shock. Anyone's who has seen Building Empire (and if you haven't then shame on you) knows what they're gonna get here.....but there's just so much of it. So much stuff that I'd never seen before, soundbites I'd never heard, fantastic recreations of lost scenes. Where the hell did you get it all? I mean, I'm a fully fledged SW geek but I can honestly say that at least 75% of the clips used were new to me!

Favourite bit - the extended, pre-effects, Vader/Luke duel.

Least favourite bit...and this is your own fault really JD....after making a point of pointing out pruneface in the briefing room, I really couldn't help but notice just how much the Emperor looks like him in some scenes

So, to sum it all up, yet another quality release. Inspiring and informative. We all owe you our thanks JD, if I met you tommorrow I'd buy you a pint!!

I really should post in this thread more often!

I'm currently listening to Beatles LOVE, which is very good but could be better - most of the songs sound exactly as the original version.

You think?? I think the album's a bona fide modern masterpiece. Watched a docu about the making of it and love everything they've done, from slipping in bits of Hey Bulldog, to bringing the 'buried' sax solo in Lady Madonna back to the front of the mix, to playing Sun King backwards, and the new version of Octopus' Garden is fantastic!

Oh, and my fave Beatles album is also Abbey Road. The Beatles for me don't really start till Rubber Soul and Revolver's my 2nd fave, but it's just the medley at the end of Abbey Road that does it for me. I've been listening to Sgt Pepper all my life but is was discovering Abbey Road in my late teens that made me truly appreciate how good a band they really were.

My favourite new bands at the moment tho are The Klaxons (I've only heard a couple of songs but really like what I've heard) and Enter Shikari (it's like heavy metal rave :cool
