STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time
my view on this is that we have the original trilogy in a myraid of forms, from OCP's Classic Editions, Laserdisc transfers and the GOUT, we've got the Special Editions, we've got Deleted Magic (and Jambe's project), we've even got Read-Along's synched up to the movie, so why in the hell shouldn't someone tinker round to make their own version?!?

This is what's become so great about this site in the last couple of years. It's gone beyond simply being a petition site for the OOT, it's pushed people (myself included) to create some amazing pieces of work, and contribute the growing mythology of fan editing.

And Adywan, I can't wait for this one. This years going to be the best one yet for the stuff coming from this site

another question of opinion for you folks-

There's a few instances where i run footage twice, wether to show a difference in video or audio, but as it is I simply cut back. Is this too much of a jump do you think or would I be better of doing something similar to the trick JD uses in Building Empire and RTJ where he uses a white flash and a beep to jump back? Or possibly some kind of 'rewind' effect?

hi guys,

a quick update for you....i've just exported v2.0 out of womble. thanks to a recent bundle of images by Sluggo I've spent the last day organising every episode II image that I've got into scene order, so I can go through the whole thing again and see what I can use that I haven't yet. Believe it or not, inserting the images like I have been is actually harder than the live footage...at least with the live stuff I can just overlay it on top of the existing audio without having to generate time (I sound like a mad professor). Once I've done this and had a final QC then it's on to the subtitles

But once more, I need peoples help...those few that have the wip version - the beginning of the film...basically everything up to the introduction of Obi-Wan & Anakin is in my opinion the weakest part of the whole thing, but obviously I want to hit the ground running so to speak, grab peoples attention from the get go and make sure I keep it till the good stuff, so if anyone has any ideas, nows the time!

Hot Fuzz
Time
Went to see this sunday night. My opinion is that whjile it wasn't quite as good as Shaun Of The Dead, it was still bloody brilliant. Bear in mind the fact that I cansider Shaun to be one of those rare things - an absolutley flawless movie. Hot Fuzz provides many, many laugh out loud moments. However, I don't believe it will translate as well for our American friends. With Shaun, it was obviously recognisable as an open love letter to Romero's "of the Dead" movies, however, with Hot Fuzz's rural countryside location and very strong Bristolian accents (which for me provided many of the laughs by themselves, being from that area originally and once having that farmers twang) I feel some of the homour may be lost on American audiences.

So, like a said, not as good as Shaun, so a piss poor 9.5 out of 10.....Simon and Edgar must try harder
