I am sure if tree falls and no one is around, it still makes a noise. But obviously, if no one was around, no one heard the noise.

Ah ok so it’s ok to lecture black people as long as they aren’t listening.

All I am saying that I ought to be able to give my opinion on these things without being raked through the coals just because of my skin color.

Oh hi there white privilege, nice to see you again.

ah the answer that justifies all bigotry towards white people, including from some that are white themselves.

fixed.

Sounds about right.

I find it funny that Frink’s only response in any race argument is to devalue your opinion because of your skin color rather than address your opinion directly.

Beauty And The Beast (2017)

Didn’t understand the reason for the remake. It was the same movie, but for every good thing they added, they added a dozen terrible ones.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them (2016)

Got about an hour into this before we (all adults) literally wandered off.

Funnily enough my sister and I just did the same thing with Fantastic Beasts LOL

Yikes. Great timing.

Is this really that big of a deal? They weren’t selling black people, they were doing a FANTASY auction of football players. It also included white players. According to the article you linked too, auctions are common in fantasy football.

"Auction drafts are a common part of fantasy football, and ESPN’s segments replicated an auction draft with a diverse slate of top professional football players. Without that context, we understand the optics could be portrayed as offensive, and we apologize,” ESPN said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports.

I’ve done Fantasy for many years now and this story proves that if someone does something as simple as taking something out of context, they’ll get offended real quick.

Restoring a deleted scene: I can’t help you with that, even the most gifted editors here can’t do this. Most RotJ and Prequel Deleted scenes, though, are actually good enough quality that they’re usable.

Making Transitions Smooth: Really depends on a lot. What scenes? What’s happening? What’s smooth? How’s the transition happening?

Redoing music & sound effects, and removing music & sound: The Blu-Rays come with multiple tracks. If you’re using them, you can just mute one track for a certain part of the movie. If you’re using some other source (like Harmy, for example), I’d recommending just putting in Blu-Ray audio around the change in question.

Color correcting to the OT: I already know you know more about this than me

Actually, the blu-ray audio tracks do not have a dedicated track to music/sound. I would recommend just building/inserting as much custom sfx as possible for the desired scene and then adding the music. Then for dialogue, you can isolate the center channel and maybe do some noise reduction on it to get rid of even more music.

That is what I have discovered usually is the most reliable way to replace music seamlessly.

Is anyone noticing some odd overlaid imagery at 1:45:17? It looks like a mask transparency was left visible during the scene. Is this just me?
I loved the additions to the battle at Hoth. Especially the AT-ST that gets shot and staggers backwards and the AT-ST that gets smashed by the AT-AT falling. Great work Adywan!

I’ve probably watched the Battle of Hoth four times by now. What has been done is just amazing.

You can’t act bigoted towards people who want all Jews dead. Of course this is if we’re talking about actual nazis.

They are true Nazis, no doubt.

I’m guessing you meant to say “there are true nazis” since I didn’t know we we’re talking about a certain group or person. But on the subject of the man carrying the nazi flag; he is a shitty excuse for a human being.

You don’t need a flag to be a neo-Nazi. I think it’s pretty safe to say at this point that the whole group was firmly white supremacist.

I’m sorry I totally didn’t know what Silverwook was referring to when he made that post.

If it means anything, I would definitely call these people nazis and condemn their behavior.

I think I’ve said this before but I think it bears repeating: the word racism means different things to different people. When discussing this topic, it’s pretty normal for some white people to recoil the second the word starts to touch them personally. Because racism, to them, is overt acts, conscious choices, hateful feelings, much more personal. But to others, racism is woven into the fabric of America, much more institutional. If you were born and raised here, you’ve already got some on you. The only question is: what are you going to do about it?

When Michelle Obama said she raised her daughters in a house built by slaves, that was a much more poignant way of saying she got some on her. The more important question is what is she doing about it?

This post probably much more tactfully says the same thing I just said, but in a way people seem to have appreciated at the time, if not now.

I think we may have a big misunderstanding about what we each thought of racism and I apoglozie. I subscribe to the definition that racism is when you discriminate against someone and think they are less of a person than you in any way because of their skin color. And when I heard you say that “All of Americans should check their racism”, I associated it instantly with what I think of racism and an accusation like that can rile me up really fast and I apologize for not taking the time to understand your persceptive.

*sigh* 😐

Relevant.

For Christ’s sake.

Warbler has shown nothing that would make you think he is racist and to assume that someone is racist without any evidence is just awful. Half of this race talk is just virtue signaling from the left and does nothing to help solve issues in America.

Umm, I think the link was intended to criticize CatBus for calling Warbler racist. The video points out that we are all capable of occasionally doing a racist act, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we are a racist person.

Thanks for the clear up. Catbus, my last message was directed at you and every other self righteous asshole from the left.

I called pretty much all Americans racists in the sense that they are all tainted by growing up with racism, and should that into consideration when making decisions, and I included myself (and women, and minorities) in that. Self-righteous refers to someone who thinks they’re better than other people, not someone who thinks they’re equally culpable. Nevertheless, through this discussion, we have successfully identified a self-righteous asshole.

Never said I was better than you Mr. All Americans are Racist.

Ah, so when you said I was a self-righteous asshole, you meant we are ALL self-righteous assholes, and you are just as bad of one as me. You were being just as humble and circumspect as I was in my observations on race in America – it just wasn’t apparent at first. Thanks for the clarification yourself. I can kinda get behind that sentiment.

Either that or you’re not backpedaling fast enough, Mr. Self-Righteous.

Sorry that I think it’s self righteous to call all Americans racist and then say that “im just trying to fix the problem” by admitting your “racism” and that there are so many other people who aren’t humble enough to admit it themselves.

This is the kind of thing I always talk about. No one wants to admit they’re wrong, no one likes to be less than perfect.

Everybody has biases. This is just true. The sooner we can all recognize that the sooner we can move forward. Everybody does or says things that could be considered racist. Whether that makes them a “racist” or not is just semantics. Personally, I’d say no, but getting caught up on the word is just missing the point.

The left saying that everybody can be racist doesn’t make them assholes, it just means they’re willing to put aside pride to expose a deeper, challenging truth. It doesn’t make them self righteous, it just makes them people who want to try to be better.

The left doesn’t claim that everyone can be racist. That is not even disputable. Of course a human can be racist.

The issue is when the left condemns all white people of a collective predujice based upon their race. That is racism. And white people who “admit” to their sins are not trying to improve. It’s pointless virtue signaling. And that’s the foundation of so many leftists counter arguments. “You just don’t care about poor people!” “You just don’t care about black people!”

It’s all a competition to see who can be more “accepting” and “culturally sensitive”.

Only the loud, stupidest voices are doing that (the real goal is much more nuanced and much more pervasive. We are all capable of racism, and, whether we’d like to admit it or not, we are all racist to some extent at some point or another).

To say that this is what the left is doing is to essentially commit the same sin of oversimplification, generalization, and vilification that you are accusing them of.

That’s why I make a distinction between classical liberals and the left. The loud stupid ones are of the left. I appreciate people like you who are reasonable about their ideas and don’t want to repress speech.

I’m sorry if you thought I was associating you with the left, it was not my intention.

So… what am I?

I guess your nothing according to your post concerning labels.

I’m sorry but I can’t take it when people treat others like these racist sinners who just have to repent from their racism that they can’t control. It’s pointless and shitty to think that you have the right to tell someone how to solve their probabale case of racism without any evidence.
