Info: Our projects released thread
Time

OK I am burning Discs and getting stuff ready for the 2 that have helped us so far with much needed materials, so I just wanted to check 1 more time and see if anyone else is interested in helping us out? we have a lot coming and I will need blanks and such for testing, if interested please PM and we can work something out, and only serious inquiries please, I have had a lot of PM’s but none have panned out and this takes a lot of time to try and line up for nothing to happen lol.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Hi SilverWook, JayArgonaut, pittrek, friedcamera, dark_jedi and all others.

For the Star Wars fans:

“From Star Wars to Star Wars”, a FOX special from 1999, 46 minutes.

“NOVA: Special Effects: Titanic & Beyond” program from 1998. MAY contain SW material.

“Siskel & Ebert”: “Star Wars” (My notation on tape), from 1999, 21 minutes.

“The Mythology of Star Wars”, a Bill Moyers PBS special from 1999, 55:30 running time.

“Unnatural History” TV series from 1998 on TLC. Season 1, Episode 4, “Prophecies and Ghostly Voices” from May 26, 1998, 47 minutes. Mark Hamill narrated. I have NO idea what this is.

dark_jedi, do you need any of these items now also?

To be honest we would actually take anything SW related, we at some point have an idea to make a bunch of “extras” Blu-rays.

Donations are slim to none really, we needed them for materials and our art guy is even making something special for those that donate, for The Warriors we had 2 people help out, that is it, 1 member from here and 1 from horrordigital.

I mentioned in another thread that with the crazy stuff we have coming up I am going to have to rebuild and upgrade my rig, hope this happens but I will not hold my breath lol.

04 DVD’s, so all subs from those DVD’s would be sweet.

It is very nice now that we can include subtitles on our projects, I am so excited about what we can do and what we have in store for you all!

Okay 😃 first time using those disc lol 😄 what file format do you need them to be in?

Just rip them directly, use whatever program you like and can use, I use PgcDemux, but maybe DVDDecryptor can do it and maybe a few others.

I need a PC rebuild very soon for all this stuff we have in store, so hopefully when ready I can get the same support Harmy did.

I’m in, for absolute friggin’ sure.

If this by chance was directed to me lol since I am the one that said it I appreciate this very much, as I said we have some very, very good SW stuff lining up and I am in serious needs of some upgrading and HD’s.

Great things are coming and the Team is so very excited about what we have in store, we will be more specific very soon but we need to get a lot lined up and we have more members now and a lot more to coordinate, but I am up for the challenge and think it is going to be very fun! so hopefully in a month or two I can start upgrading this thing to handle what is coming.

Thanks

dark_jedi, well, you’re very welcome! I would have to record my VHS to DVD’s, as I don’t have any computer video capture capability, if that quality will do. Please forgive me, but I honestly admit that I’m not that computer savvy and am not afraid to ask for help, so… How do I/we PM each other on here? I’d be happy to, but you must make it easy for me follow! I’m very happy to help out. SilverWook was kind enough to show me how to post pictures on here and I just did it again, so the memory isn’t completely gone…

Happy Father’s Day to one and all!

Yea maybe SilverWook can help with that, I do not know how to cap from VHS to DVD, I thought you already had them digital, but I know he knows because he just sent us some very cool stuff to use for The Black Hole.

Oh and for PM, just click on my name next to the lovely pic of Ahsoka and then click start a private topic.

dark_jedi, thanks. Yes, I am absolutely willing to share anything that I have. Do you have a timeframe for the Star Wars material? I have one tape in front of me, but have more in storage. I don’t have a ton of Star Wars video material, but know there are a few more things. My health isn’t the best, so sometimes getting access to certain things takes a little time. I’m actually quite grateful that I found this forum and people that are passionate about their fandom. I feared that the things I’ve saved and recorded for over thirty years would just be tossed eventually.

Well those 2 mentioned above we could use now for Empire and maybe the rest on Jedi when you locate them, would this work? if so maybe we can take this to PM so others can chat about other stuff lol.

By the way thank you very much for this.

dark_jedi, I’m sorry but were you addressing me? I still have the tape with the SW 97 SE contents that is listed above and I believe I have more material on other tapes that are not handy at this moment. When I do locate the other material I will post it on here. Thank you.

Yes it absolutely was to you, that 97 SE stuff would be great to add to our BD release if you are willing to share?

Thanks

I also have a VHS (recorded off-air) with the following listed on it:

“The Force Returns: Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition”, 1997, from the Sci-Fi Channel, 23:30 minutes
“Star Wars-An MTV Movie Special”, 1997, 21 minutes
“Larry King Live: Jodie Foster”, “Contact”, July 1997, 41:26 minutes
“Making of Contact”, 22:45 minutes

Do you still have the 97 SE stuff available somewhere?

Here’s the ones I included with my laserdisc releases for the 97SE. They were ripped from the '04 NTSC discs OCR’ed and time-shifted to match up with CapableMetal’s project which I used as a sync guide for all of my 97SE stuff. I’m not 100 percent sure the OCR is completely correct but maybe they will be of use to you.

EDIT: Links are good for 7 days.

Thanks I grabbed them and we will see what we can do.

So I’ve got something… I’ve got a few .idx files, .sub files, and one .srt file. Here’s the Drive link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6s_4U0K-xHScUVFalBrUjBNbUE

If for some reason they happen to be better than Althor’s (though I doubt it) I will do ESB and ROTJ.

Can you try PgcDemux? subtitle files are just 1 file for each language.

I’m sure Team Blu will probably have the 5.1 in their version, as their goal (to my understanding) is more about having the best presentation of the original version on blu ray, rather than trying to accurately present exactly what was seen and heard on 35mm film in theaters.

We will do the Original Trilogy up the absolute best we can with all the best resources available, we have assembled the best Team for this so stay tuned! we are just trying to clear our plates and I am going to need to do what Harmy did a while back, I need a PC rebuild very soon for all this stuff we have in store, so hopefully when ready I can get the same support Harmy did, he and I will spread the word when ready.

Exciting times are coming!
