sweeney,sean wookie,this is why I am liking the FE forums much better than here now,these guys and alot of others like them here can say whatever they want and get away with it,at FE forums,we get rid of the damn idiotic pests!

but alot of you guys just feed into them instead of just ignoring the ignorant pests like we should,this thread is already waaaay to long,this is my first and last post on these types of people.

Paramount drops HDDVD. End of format war?

Paramount studios is poised to drop its support of the high-definition DVD (HD DVD) format after Warner Bros studio said it would back the competing Blu-ray format, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.The loss of support from Paramount, which is owned by Viacom Inc, would likely deal the final blow to the HD DVD format backed by Toshiba Corp and put an end to the format war, the newspaper said on its Web site. Time Warner Inc’s Warner Bros studio on Friday said it would exclusively release high-definition DVDs in Sony Corp’s Blu-ray format, marking a major setback to the HD DVD camp.

Blu-ray discs outsold HD DVD by nearly two-to-one in the United States last year, but HD DVD had secured major allies in August when Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc said they would go exclusively with HD DVD. But Paramount is understood to have a clause in its contract with the HD DVD camp that would allow it to change sides if Warner Bros backed Blu-ray, the Financial Times said, citing people familiar with the situation. However, Paramount spokeswoman denied this news as speculative with “Paramount’s current plan is to continue to support the HD DVD format”.

RIP hd dvd,this is GREAT news,Bluray all the way for me,the only movie we Bluray guys are missing is Transformers,I really hope that comes out someday on Bluray.

After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, escapes from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10 year old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Cuts removed/added/extended :

Added Deborah Myers getting harrased by the reporter.
Added Michaels Hearing to get transfered to Minimum security.
Added Dr. Loomis signing autographs and young girl flirting with him.
Added Michael leaving Smith’s Grove Sanitarium after the “rape escape”.
Added Michael getting the Gravestone.
Added Dr. Loomis meeting up with Sheriff Bracket in the graveyard and both of them discovering that the stone missing is Judith Myers,this seemed more realistic.

Removed:

Dr. Loomis going to the Graveyard to check on Judith Myers Gravestone,How would he have known it was missing and that Michael would have taken it?
Also moved some scenes around a little,put in a different order.

Additional Comment:

Personally I like ALL the Halloween movies,I am just a HUGE fan,but this version I did I like the most,some scenes just were not needed,like most of the first half,the begining story was long enough in my opinion,except for the reporter harrasing Deborah Myers,I felt this scene was needed.

yes but it is not seeded very well now,and they won't update there damn bittorrent clients,seems to me that it is stupid to keep using the old outdated version of Utoorent when the new one is accepted everywhere else.
oh well I guess I just won't be adding this to my collection.

There is an option to buy the 5-disc without the briefcase,I bought it,and it was only $35 for the Bluray.

alot easier to store the 5-disc Collectors Edition than the 5-disc Ultimate Collectors Edition(Briefcase).
