I am with negative1 on this one,I actually like and enjoy them all,but they could have lessened the BS from Jar Jar a little,he was way to kiddish, but HELL yes,I like Revenge of The Sith to,but my favorite is still and always will be,The Empire Strikes Back!

and for the SE's of the original's,I like alot of that to,I think in ESB when they added the Windows in the Cloud City that was a definite improvement, much better than the plain ass walls.

again sure some was over the top,but not enough to make me HATE them like some of the people here.

on the jar jar thing, it was similiar for the people when they saw the ewoks in ROTJ. but yes, i agree. i liked all of them and still watch them. TPM and ROTS were my favorites.

i know its hated, but you'd be surprised at how much the star wars fan base has grown.

you are absolutely right,I forgot about the Ewoks LOL,they to could have been toned down a bit also, but overall, like I said,I like ALL the films and there various versions.

Blu-ray prices not coming down
Time

as far as price on Bluray Discs, there are very few that are pretty cheap, like Blade Runner 5 Disc Set($30) and the Close encounters Set($30),and I picked up alot of the older titles like Halloween,Dawn\Day\Land\Diary of the Dead, evil Dead II, are pretty damn affordable, same price as a new release DVD,but if you compare new release Bluray to the new release DVD price, not even close,at least in my area, new release DVD's are around $15,but DAMN the new release Bluray titles are friggin $30,and that really sux, hell even Transformers on Bluray was only $20,so for me at least,I do not get many "new release" Bluray.

I am still following this thread G-Force,in about 2 weeks I am going to switch everything over to my new PC and then give this encoding a try,the only reason I have been silent is because I was waiting to do the change,I am going to now be using an Intel Quad Core processor at 3.0GHz(I will probably OC ofcourse),with 8 GB's ram,and dual 500 GB hard drives, and dual GeForce 9800 GTX+ Video cards, along with some serious cooling ofcourse,I figured with all the encoding and edits I do I need a serious machine now, plus gearin up for Diablo III LOL.

so after ANH is done,I will be all over you for help on ESB and ROTJ LOL

I will keep you posted

DJ

THE STAR WARS SAGA - 1080P AVCHD DVD-9 for PS3 & Blu-Ray players - Episodes 1, 4 & 5 available now
Time

I see your point and understand completely,I was there right with you for a long time, and I can't stand rapidshare,I don't mind torrents so much anymore because all the places I get them from are very strict on seeding,so that is cool.

hopefully someone will upload the torrent ASAP for all you guys, because I won't upload to Demonoid or TPB,they are way to lax and the hit and runners there suck!

How to make AVCHD Bluray DL DVD's from raw .ts files
Time

after seeing such great work on ANH and ESB,and Raiders of The Lost Ark,I really want to give this a shot myself,so anyone here that can help me figure out how to do these,I would be EXTREMELY greatful, and ofcourse I will upload them for all interested.

Now what I have are the raw .ts files in HD,most are in DD 5.1,some of the older ones like Sheena are DD 2.0,they range from 15-25 GB's in size, and really look amazing, these obviously were my source for my HD2DVD projects.

So how do you guys IVTC these files and set them up for the AVCHD Bluray DVD's?

Here are some of the titles I would like to do and share:

Sheena,The Gate,King Kong 1976,Night of The Creeps,Night of The Comet,The Monster Squad,Child's Play,The Legend of Billie Jean,Death Wish 1-3,Candyman,Cherry 2000,Howard The Duck,From Beyond,Jason and The Argonauts and a whole lot more.

So please anyone with any guides or helpful info, what programs I will need, please do not be shy and comment on it.

Thanks for your time

DJ

*** 1 more thing,to the person or persons that help me to figure these out,I will send a title or 2 to them through the mail,so no downloading!***

My problem with usenet is usenet itself. I gave it a go, and got several useful things out of it, but it wasn't worth the hassle, even after the initial learning curve. As a totally separate issue, if I'm going to have to pay someone for Adywan's work, why should it be some random corporation instead of Adywan himself?

For the record, I have donated more to Adywan than it would have cost for me to get usenet access for the releases I'm interested in. I make no demands regarding buses or strippers, just a simple request that someone provide the release in the format requested by 50% of the members in Moth3r's recent survey (as opposed to 12.5% who requested usenet). I don't think that's unreasonable, as Adywan, while expressing his personal disinterest in torrents, has never said he doesn't want people doing it.

If it becomes clear that usenet is the only way to get Adywan's releases, I guess I'll have to suck it up and deal with the crappy interface, the corrupted downloads, the wasted disk space, and the fact that I'm paying someone else for Adywan's work, but I'd much rather send another fiver Adywan's way.

you know I used to feel exactly the same way you do,it took me forever before I liked usenet, and I HATED it for the same reasons you do,but now that I learned it and found the "right" software for me,now I really like it,it is a GREAT alternative to torrents, and NO SEEDING BS!,and no worrying about those idiot hit and runners, sure $25 is kind of alot of money I hues, but 110 GB's is ALOT of stuff,it would get you ALL Ady's releases and a TON more,Segaflip the KING of usenet helped me get setup,if you decide to give usenet a shot again,PM me and I will give you help,I have helped out others and now they think it is pretty damn easy to,once you have the Astraweb acct.,all you do is load that info into Grabit, then goto binsearch or newzleech and download the .nzb file(which to me is just like a torrent LOL)load that .nzb into Grabit and wallah, you are grabing Ady's fabulous file.

but like I said,if you give it a go again,PM me and I will gladly help you out,I started my download of this little over 4 hours ago and I have it already.

and yes 2 files were incomplete, but QuikPar fixed it in a jiffy, the Par files are right there in the download,so no extra downing.

all you need is this:

Astraweb acct.,Grabit,Quikpar,Winrar.

Not everyone wants to pay for usenet...

EDIT: Sorry, this was in response to vbangle

I demand that someone provide me a copy now.... but I want it delivered by hand, via double decker bus with a bunch of strippers (top tier strippers mind you)!

I wonder how long I will have to wait until someone fulfills my request...  oh I guess I could pay 3 bucks to astraweb and get it tonight.

Now that is Funny, that is exactly how I feel,Astraweb is the best service out there hands down(my opinion ofcourse) $25 for 110 GB's download is friggin SWEET!

do a little work, pay a little money, and you to can have it NOW!

Thanks Adywan,ESB is my FAVORITE!

2) when Vader is talking to Luke on the platform (after cutting Luke's hand off) you can see the shell of Vader's helmet moving in the wind.

Yeh, this has been mentioned. I'm not sure if i'll be doing anything with that because we do see that the hood part of the helmet is separate and it does help show just how windy it is up there.

Ady, with all due respect, I think you should stabilize Vader's helmet in the scene. I know that logically it should move, due to the wind in the platform, but the movement looks a bit silly and distracting in my opinion.

I couldn't agree with you more, that is the 1 thing that always sticks out to me to,a little movement is one thing, but man does that baby move.

Abrams is Destroying Star Trek like Lucas has Destroyed Star Wars
Time

I can see that in Janeway, lordjedi, but Captain Siscko, now he was very cool,he did not always follow the rules.

and Archer, well we did not get to see him for the full seven seasons,DAMN!

I do like Picard, just not as much as the rest of the Captains,as a matter of fact,ST TNG is the ONLY set I do not have,I have ALL the rest(complete seasons) including movies and The Animated Series on Retail DVD.

but back on topic,I am going to hold ALL my comments on the new movie until after I see it at the Theater,I personally am looking forward to it bigtime,I just cannot sit here and bash a movie before anyone even see's it LOL.

Well I just got in the mail today The Island, evidently it was ONLY released on DVD in Germany,so I have another PAL2NTSC Custom DVD to do,and it is uncut and in the correct aspect ratio of 2.35:1 anamorphic.

been a long time since I have watched this, and from what I remember it was a pretty damn good Michael Caine movie.

Info: FanEdit.org is GONE!!!!
Time

He is not talking about actual "fighting" here in this thread or at this forum,he has seen some of the BS that has went down there at fe between some of the mods, members and admins, again that is why I left a long time ago and am probably banned as well,I really don't know, I have not been there in a while.

but reave mentions silly stuff, well with me it was much more than "silly" stuff.

but hey, that is just water under the bridge,I have long since moved on and have other ventures in mind with my long time friend Ricardo,I am still doing preservations,PAL2NTSC/Custom DVD's,and even edits.

but at least this great site is still here, this is where I started and got into all this stuff,so this will ALWAYS be my first choice of forums,at least until ours gets up and running.

@ C3PX,

"When skimming the FE.org forum I often feel that same "fuckit all, we do what we want and those suites can't touch us!" pirate bayish sort of attutude, obviously not from all members, but a few. Maybe I am wrong on that."

I do not think you are wrong at all,I am in agreement with you all the way,and my comment above was a dissing on boon, that was his attitude back when we had the arguement on getting rid of preservations,he said those were illegal and somehow fanedits were less LOL.

but I am with you on all your statements, that is why I left that arrogant group a long time ago,I HATE that Holier than thou attitude, but reading this news the other day,I have to be honost,it made me smile.

boon will set you straight on how fanedits are under the radar Sky,I have heard all his bullshit before,I cannot believe he is not spouting it out now, because he is in the right, fanedits are legal LOL,you bought the DVD and can do whatever you want to it,either in whole or in part.

still very interesting,I am sure he has a bunch of lawyers fighting the good fight for the site though,he can use the donations for all that.

Waterworld ABC Cut? A ton of info - see McFly's posts for details (Released)

DVDTalk reviewed the disc and it is a low-res TV edition without profanity/brief nudity. I think mcfly's cut deserves to be preserved. This also explains why Universal opted against seamless branching, because they didn't want to/were unable to restore the extended footage.

I kind of find this hard to believe,I will buy this next week and let you know,it says that the extended cut is unrated,I find it very hard to believe they would censor those particular parts,we will all see soon I guess.
