I have feelers out already on a few FB pages for these.  I will keep you all posted.

Any nibbles yet? I am having ZERO luck myself on these 2.

So far, no.  I did find a US Halloween 6 LD with Ultra Stereo but nothing else so far.  I'm going to hit a few resale shops this weekend and see if I can happen upon them.  Wish me luck.

LOL

Good luck but I am afraid we might be SOL on these.

where do you find hard to find laserdiscs if not ebay because looked at another site that says it has hard to find laserdiscs. but the laserdiscs of halloween 4 and 5 with the ultra stereo tracks aren't on there how rare are these laserdiscs?

Both those laserdiscs are listed at LDDB for $15 each

I did not see them there, can you PM me a link?

DJ, let me know what you find.  Maybe we can work something out where we can go 1/2's on the purchase to get this done.

:)

Thanks, I just went to LDDB again and see no buy option anywhere on either part 4 or 5, so I need to see actual purchase links, but I am not seeing any.

Is there ANY chance in hell someone has the P&S US LD versions of Halloween 4 & 5 that contain the Ultra Stereo mixes on them?  These do not exist anyplace else but the LD and they should be sync'd to the new Bluray releases?

ANY assistance IS appreciated.

:)

Damn these might be really hard to find, I actually tried to find them because now I am kind of interested to hear how these sound, I actually love parts 4 & 5!

Glad you guys are really liking what we are doing, it is very nice to read this, it does look like we are a big hit at B-T and that is great, with the true HD streaming you just cannot get any better then that, this Site ROCKS!!! and by this weekend I will have ALL our projects up for download and stream in 1080p, and I talked to Vinnie we will replace T1 and T2 with our versions, so thanks to Vinnie for that.

Again thanks guys, it really does mean a lot to us to read these nice comments.

I just wanted to let you guys know there is now something really, really cool at B-T, if you have a high enough rank you can now stream titles in HD! I am currently encoding ALL our releases so you can stream them as well, the only 2 that are not our versions are the Terminators, I will ask Vinnie if I can re do those and maybe swap out but we will see, but anyways this new feature is bad ass!

Just letting you guys know that are now members there.

Thanks

Greetings all, I just wanted to post a quick review of Team Blu's latest release "The NeverEnding Story" 2-disc set that I received last week.  To cut to the chase, this is yet another strong entry into their ever growing list of quality releases.

As most (if not all) of you may recall, the biggest flaw with the theatrical (i.e. domestic) release was that the transfer was too dark and the biggest flaws with the international release were that it was too light and DNR'd to hell.

Here's a quick breakdown after viewing both discs:

Theatrical: Comparing the domestic release which I own to Team Blu's release, the PQ really shines with the lightening techniques applied to the transfer.

International: On the flipside, I don't own a version of the international so I had to compare it to screen captures but it is very plain to see that the darkening of the international cut and grain application have restored a filmic presentation to this cut of the film.

To put it bluntly, the previous issues with both transfers has been corrected with this release and fans of this film owe it to themselves to put this on their shelves post haste.

Thanks for this, but just to clear some things up, the Theatrical is the International and the International is the Extended in your post lol, there are only 2 versions, the International which is the Theatrical almost everywhere, and then the Extended which was only available in Germany up until recently, and our Extended is 100% English Friendly, if I have anything wrong here I will let You_Too straighten it out lol.

Thanks again for the review!

T2 is at a disadvantage because it has never gotten a 4K scan, so it's amazing how great it looks here.

I do wonder, when we finally get that Cameron-approved (probably overly teal?) 4K-sourced remaster we've been promised for years, will there be any chance of a version 2.0?

In this case I would l think so, well at least a 2.0 of the video so it can be swapped out.

managed to burn this off today

Video and sound very good from what I've seen so far on the main feature

all intro videos and menus very unstable though :( picture breaks ups continuously and it takes a long time for them to progress from start to finish. This was on my 3D Panasonic player though. will try it again later on my multi region Panasonic (a much older model)

played ok on my BD-ROM on the laptop though

Thanks, glad I did not jump on it then, maybe you may want to stop with menu's and make movie only BD's until you sort this out, just a thought.

Does anyone know if there are any good PQ DVD's of the movie Dreamscape that are uncut? I have a pretty good 1080p version of this and would love to see if it would be possible to somehow return this flick back to its uncut form, it would be great if there was a PAL and NTSC version of the uncut movie.

Thanks

The UK release from 2 Entertain is uncut and anamorphic, but it's a NTSC-PAL transfer.  I've never watched the disc, so I can't speak for the PQ.  All of the other uncut DVDs that I know of are either fullscreen or letterbox.

Do you have a link to this particular DVD? I cannot find anything anywhere for this 2 Entertain DVD.

Thanks

Wow, what an AWESOME project. I'm only watching T2 bit by bit at the moment, and the picture quality and sound quality is excellent. I'm not sure exactly what you have done with the picture, but it looks miles better than my two blu-rays that I own (I only own the Skynet edition and the first region a mpeg2 blu-ray releases), so there was quite a lot more detail in the picture in this than I have seen before. Also, the colour looks fantastic.

Of the three audio mixes, I opted to listen to the CDS mix, as I haven't really heard it for a long time. I definitely feel that with the CDS mix, I have noticed little things here and there, which I think may have been buried a little more in the later mixes. The music sounds as though it has a little bit more 'oomph' to it and is maybe clearer in parts - it seems to have maybe a bit more separation compared to the newest mixes, and maybe not quite as buried in some scenes, and I really like that!

All in all, I think Team-Blu have done a stellar job with this - this is well and truly the ultimate preservation of Terminator 2!

Thank you dark_jedi and all those in Team-Blu!

Your Welcome! Hope you enjoy T1 as well.
