As for newsgroups, I do know how to use them, I just don't like them.
? What exactly don't you like about them? I have never heard that phrase in connection with the Usenet. Reminds me of when I was a kid and didn't know how to play poker. Guys would say, "Hey, let's go play poker!" and I'd reply "Nah, I don't really like poker very much. You go on ahead without me." Or is there really something about usenet that just sticks in your craw.
Parts 27-33 did not upload well and are missing parts on the NTSC disc. Just a heads up. They PAR repair fine but you may want to reupload those rar parts.
Usenet is the Best way to share files PERIOD. Yeah it takes about half an hour to learn it but after that it's pure sailing. For those "not good" at usenet I suggest "getting good" at usenet.
thanks for this link - I'm now up and running a newsgroup thing.
don't see the files yet - SO now I just heed the advice I already posted about waiting
What newsreader and usenet carrier are you using? Usenet Server has a 3 day plan for $3.00(US) that is pretty good. Also I recommend using alt.binz for the binary grab. It is easy to set up and will decode, PAR repair, and unrar multipart binaries from the USENET. It's free. Remember the 1st rule of USENET. 1. We don't talk about USENET
(of course I just broke the rule)
I have found the files and have made a report in Newzbin for both the PAL version and the NTSC version. I deleted the last 2 reports I made due to the flubs.
I loved this edit. Sorry for ADYWAN that others want to dissect every little bit. All I want is a DVD cover so I can share this with some friends.... Anyone got one?
Thank you for this. It is truly amazing. I saw my handle up on the credits too even though I only posted a few times. That was neat. Has anyone created cover and DVD artwork for this masterpiece that can be downloaded yet?
What the radio drama and vinyl story of Jedi do have in common is that they are of inferior quality to their respective predecessors... kind of like Jedi itself...
Agreed. When I first heard of the radio drama of Jedi I was very excited. Then I heard it. It seemed to be nothing more than a blow by blow of the original movie. No great love seemed to be put into the radio drama or the "story of".
I never post. Well almost never. Only when I get excited about something. I am gonna pee myself if I don't get to see this soon. I am really waiting. I have no expertise in video editing or anything... I just wanna see it..
I'm new to these forums. I was perusing the usenet last night and looking through a little newsgroup called alt.binaries.starwars. Now usually there isn't much there; the occasional fan-edit but mostly not much that would hold my interest... Then I saw something that sent me into the vast expanses of childhood memory. "The Story of the Empire Strikes Back: The Adventures of Luke Skywalker" "Why, that's the name of my long lost, beloved record album from childhood!" I said to myself. What I found when I read the NFO was not an MP3 of the record album like I expected. Some wonderful, brilliant, crazy fan had actually made a movie to go with the audio of this! Looking around I also found that this same wonderful, brilliant, crazy fan had done my MORE beloved "Story of Star Wars". I want to thank you for this. I am 38 now and have known these record albums by heart for the last 30 years. What you have done here has brought back sweet nostalgia and child-like glee that I really need today. This work is excellent and I have been enjoying them immensely. I even printed out the covers and put them in cases! WEEEEEEEEEEE!
