The force is strong with this thread. I can feel it.

That’s cool! More please.
That’s cool but a Legacy DCP and or print in at least one location would be even cooler!
The Alamo Drafthouse should play Mike’s version this summer. Why not? They must be paying Fox and Disney to screen them so why would they care which version played?
Blackmagic should purchase your algorithms for use in their software.
Dr. Dre your color correction algorithms are as sweet as your beats!
Great! What is next? Empire? A re-color of the SSE?
I like all of the characters. The whole movie should have been “The Search For Luke”. Rey and Fin go looking for Luke and find Han who shepards them across the galaxy from planet to planet as they look for clues. No maps involved! The movie is a mystery story and through the search we learn about happened over the last 30 years. The galaxy is a mess. Leia and the gang are trying to make order buy the New Order is rising like Hitler in Nazi Germany. Fin should have been tortured and abused for his disobedience. Han is out looking for his son. When he see’s Leia she should hug him and then slap him across the face. Then they all end up in the Jedi temple at the end of the film.
Great looking stuff Dr. Dre!
Where do we begin?
Cool idea! Lets make a 4K Empire happen?
Lock this thing up!
I hate to admit but Frink is probably correct on this one Jetrell. It’s pretty obvious.
Aside from “posting” style is there any real definitive proof that N1 was using the team account to post with? Considering all the e-mail contact that seems to have been done with them couldn’t some one copy and paste different sections from different team members, add some things from N1, and then post it using the Tn1 account? IP addresses cannot tell the difference between different people posting from the same account. It’s just an address.
I mainly visit this site just to read your comments Frink. Never leave us!
I’m starting to think we should burn this forum down.
Wow. That’s a lot to take in. Here’s my penny’s worth of thought. The Team Negative 1 account should be suspended from just their behavior using that account. But if Jay has read the evidence he should post what he believes is correct verdict. Everyone should be innocent until proven guilty and not being able to counter someones argument is wrong. The TN1 should not be re-instated.
Everyone should now move on with their lives. Frink and Jetrell should hug it out. 😃
I think it’s very diplomatic of Williarob and TN1 to stop work on their project until Mike makes his presentation. I love Mike’s project but after reading all this I’m not so much a fan of his right now but I respect his work.
We all want the same thing. Star Wars to be restored to it’s proper glory.
Peace out internet peoples.
I thought N1 owned the LPP that Mike scanned and used. I misunderstood. So much information to sift through!
And the part where Mike scanned TN1’s LPP before TN1 owned it. And the part where “a print owner” was the owner of a different print. And the part where negative1 refused to send it to Mike to rescan the crawl after Mike sent TN1 the 4K Greedo scene.
Not trying to stir up trouble, and some TN1 members appeared to be unaware of all this. Just emphasizing that there’s no similarity between what Mike did and what negative1 did, since the earlier post seemed to suggest they were on par.
I missed the post that said Mike paid for the scans.
“Say it ain’t so Joe! Say it ain’t so.”
This website just went from my happy nerd home to this. This was such a wonderful find a few years ago. It reminded me of the old days of the early internet where I discovered that there were people out in the world who were nerdier than me and I could talk to them!
I am still confused by all of this. Everything done here is so fluid on it’s legality and ethics. Mr. -1 uses a scan from a print owner who has it in his possession? Mike admits to using -1’s print too? Aren’t we all here to see Star Wars restored?
“We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.”
I can’t help but being quoty in my melancholy. 😃
What I’ve seen on this forum in the last few years has been amazing. I am very much looking forward to Adywan’s film and Mike’s Verta’s restoration. There is so much hard work, creativity and good intentions on this forum it’s amazing. You don’t see this everywhere else. This is why I love Sci-Fi and Fantasy and OT.com especially. The people are usually the nicest most talented people non-judgmental I have ever met. I wish people in politics had this much heart.
I just had to get my two cents onto the internet.
These are the dark times.
Well said sir.
This wasn’t an easy decision, I do spend an inordinate amount of time in these forums, but life has also been getting increasingly difficult, my main employer hit hard times and has let most staff go, including me, and as many of you know, one of my four daughters is physically and mentally disabled, and as she hits puberty, she has become far more difficult to look after, imagine someone who is mentally an 18 month old, that is 5 foot tall, and incredibly strong, that is simultaneously going through the both the tantrum phase of ‘the terrible twos’ and the throws of hormones and mood swings of a teenager, coupled with random violent outbursts, and you can see how it puts a lot of stress on the family, especially when you also have a three year old daughter, safety is also a real concern.
Peter,
I have not read this thread until today, so I was unaware of the various difficulties you have faced. In addition to echoing what others have said, I just wanted to say that I believe you and the rest of your family deserve all the good thoughts we can possibly send your way. I have an Asperger’s daughter who is eight, and while many days are definitely a struggle, and more are certain to come, I’ve always known there are families out there who have it more difficult than us. And since I know many people with “normal” kids don’t have a clue with what my wife and I deal with, I’m quite comfortable in assuming I don’t have a clue what you have to deal with. I hope this does not come off poorly, because I am trying to find a way to express my admiration for you while not minimizing your love for your daughter at the same time, and I am probably failing miserably. At any rate, thank you for sharing, and best of luck for you, your daughter, and the rest of your family.
All the best,
Frink
You are a great man Peter. Thank-you for all your contributions to this forum. Let us know if we can ever help you in the future. Be safe, well and happy.
Disney/Fox should release a Bluray set of restored fan films if they release Verta’s version.
Star Wars fans are Ewok sized bears but we saw what they could do in Jedi.
Shouldn’t “Saved” be in quotes too? It’s not really saved. Mike Verta’s 4K version is saving Star Wars.
I agree with Poita. Don’t go poking sleeping bears. But maybe this Bear will respond kindly? Star Wars fans are bears too.
Brilliant work! I tip my hat to you sir.
