That sounds like it'll require a lot more work on your part. Are you sure you want to invest all that time in an additional audio track just for the people who don't like your anakin dub (only to have them complain that some of the "original"--i.e. Hayden--lines don't make sense in the new context(s)) ?

Just something to think about.

Maybe I'm confused regarding the meaning of "burned-in," but I'm pretty sure if they're burned in (i.e. part of the actual video) there's no way to remove them.

I wasn't referring to you specifically, just everyone who is coming in now and shitting on the dubbing when it's a month or two away from completion.

Of course it's not going to be perfect, we don't expect it to be. It wouldn't be perfect if Trooperman was actually on set for the original filming.

I guess it just irks me to keep reading posts praising everything else and then criticizing the hell out of his dub work. Most of it has been constructive (offering suggestions on how to make it sound more natural, etc), but it's still getting a little late in the game for this.

I'm torn! Part of me loved it because as soon as it started to deviate from the original theme you knew this was something special, but the other part of me is screaming "aaahhh this is not right! how can you change the most recognizable theme from the entire series???"

I totally love the new tone set by the music, and I thought that the Blade Runner shots were pretty seamless. The only time I really noticed it was the front shot of Harrison drinking that martini looking thing.

I can't wait to see the full movie.

Ditto on what darthpreston said. It's your project, don't release it until YOU are happy with it. You did this edit for you as much as for anyone else (at least that's what I remember from the very first post of this thread). We've waited this long; even though we're all wet with anticipation I think that we can keep our collective pants on for a few more months, if necessary.

This is YOUR project. You are the only one calling the shots. =)

I just finally got a chance to watch one of the posted clips, and I am definitely in the majority. I can't wait to watch the movie with all of Anakin's lines redubbed by you, TM.

Dantha, I don't want to answer for TrooperMan, but if he's shooting for a release by the end of this year (can't really remember what date is expected for release now), don't you think it's a little late in the game to be redubbing his redubs with another actor? I think his dub sounds great and cannot wait for this thing to be in my DVD player!

I like 8 except for the fact that "of the" is the same size as "Shroud." I don't know how you could do it differently and keep from stretching/compressing anything too much. =/

I definitely like what you've done with the text, but I don't really think that the Ani/Padme(Shmi?) cover fits with what TM is doing. I the think that the one used previously has a more OT-feel.

I seem to be going against a lot of people with that (even TM, it seems), but those are my $.02
