I think I can pull that fade off. Working tonight so wont be able to try this out for a bit. But I'll post when I have something working.

After a few people stating that they thought the shot was to plain (and I agree). I added in the Destroyer that Obi took off from originaly.
It would make sence that he tries to head back there considering he's in a remote system with a short ranged ship maybe thinking only his clones rebelled.
He would try to use the radio to dock, but like he says, hes lost all frequencies. Bail cuts in and tell him this madness is happening all over. So we're left to assume that Obi bolts out of there asap. How's that sound?

Time to start putting some pressure on the Death Star issue now. I shall meditate on this.
It think dagobah might be alittle out of my league, lol. But so far alot of the stuff thats been done, I didnt think I would be able to pull off. So who knows 8)
The major issue with doing dagobah would be borrowing footage from a film I would maybe be doing an edit on in the future. I wouldnt want the same footage to appear in two different films.
The sheild door will most likely change before final release. To match the OT look. Along with a ton of other stuff still to be determined.
The construction of the Death Star also will be out, Just havnt nailed down what I would replace it with. Perhaps a hologram of the Death Star plans inside the bridge.
Or maybe the construction of Vaders Executor. Would be the Emperors gift to Vader. Kind of a "Sorry you got burned up and cut in half following my orders". LoL
It's all still up in the air atm tho.
Ok, second stab at this
First part of this scene is not complete. Wanted to get some feedback before I go all out finishing this section. Second part has color correction and a Radio animation.
The transition to Anakin and Padme is harsh, i know. It will be fixed. Just not till after i get the hologram parts done.
I will be adding a layer of glass to the ship to try to match the original shot. Mostly want to get peoples feelings about the new animation. Too much? Not enough?
tryed a few different wave forms, nothing thrilled me yet. But I'll keep trying
I know the idea was to lose the hologram in this scene but testing with shrinking it down, to make more sence. The first part of the clip is the unaltered version, the second half is the resize. Dont mind any video flickers. This is a rough draft to collect thoughts.

I guess, besides any changes that you might want to do, the four main "scenes" that need to be reedited are the coruscant battle, the confrontation between obiwan and grievous, the whole mace windu palpatine anakin and the whole final battle (padme and anakin, yoda and sidious and obiwan anakin)
I guess those 4 scenes are the ones that are most poorly directed, because they are long, distracting, or because George Lucas forgot what the point of the scenes were and got distracted with background robots and special effects.
I will not be putting in the birth of the rebellion clips.
All the rest of the parts you mentioned are being redone with a heavy amount of cuts, reworks and new ideas. Check the rest of my Youtubes for a small sample. Most of those youtube vids are older clips tho, and have been already edited even further. Like the Obi Grievous duel, But it just gives you an idea of the amount of thought I'm putting into this.

I'd suggest trying to find the clips not on my channel tho, for some reason when you view them on my channel, the quality goes to crap 8)
I was not really planning at the moment on adding anything to my edit audio wise for that scene.
I was more-so replying to Bingowings post about changing Dooku lines to make him seem less like a Sith.
On the other hand. I'm sure by the time I'm done editing I'll borrow some dialogue from a few other flicks. Lord of the Rings most likely.

Yeah Bingowings. I wish there was more dialogue in that scene to work with, or footage. With just more footage I'd be able to maybe swap in some lines from other movies or something.
Considering it's the last words of one of the main villains in Episode 2, it should have been alittle more than what it was.
As it stands about the only thing I could see being done differently would be to reorder the delivery of the lines.

Doing this would require flipping the screen so that both actors are standing where they need to be. Then the background would need to be replaced so that everything in the room behind them would be correct.
Not sure it would be worth the effort. But maybe editing the tone of the lines would work.
Anyone else got any ideas?

Yeah, the first shot of Dooku is already slowed pretty drasticaly. there's not much left after you clip out all of the section of him jumping. I'll try to slow it down alittle more, and see what it looks like.
Gonna be working alittle bit more on this section this weekend, so well see what comes of some of the mentioned ideas.
I'm still trying to track down some better Tie fighter sound FX. Even the ones from the video games are not that great. The sounds on the Star Wars soundboard are the ones I would love to get my hands on. But not sure if thats possible

Check youtube itself, there are several videos posted about how to get the best results.
Started working on color correction on The Invisible Hand scenes, trying to take out as much blue tint as I can from the ships walls, tables and chairs. As an added bonus it calmed down the insanely overdone blue glow on Anakins and Obi's sabers. I think they look alittle more OT now, which was nice.
Phase 3 of Dooku's door has started. The first shot of the door has the new animation. Ive yet to finish the shot as it closes tho. I'll be working on that tomorrow night. So the old door and Red room will be changed to match the new animation very soon.
How does the first part of the door look tho?
Funny but i noticed alot of changes in the background between shots in these scenes.
I was trying to work out a part where Dooku Force chokes Obi, kicks Anakin and then tosses Obi-wan all in a single shot. Because the Dooku footage at the end of the force choke and the begining of him tossing Obi was overlapped a bit. You see the same movements out of Dooku.
Only problem was the background. It's not even close in between these shots. We're talking like the walls and doors have moved like 5 feet. And the opening to the 3 elevators upstairs is widened by a huge amount.
Heck yeah, what could it hurt? I'll play around with it, and hopefully it can be done. The look is amazing.
