I love paint.net! Woohoo. Also, CP, I don't know if I'm gonna replace her - rather, I think she'll be in storage for awhile. It's clearly an issue with the RF adapter/jack piece more than anything else - sure, the carts are a tiny bit loose in my toploader (they work better if I find something that shoves them forward), but nothing else is wrong. I may invest in sending it off somewhere to mod it for A/V for $50 or so.

Also, I don't recommend a 2-in-1 mainly because of the sound issues. I could NEVER play Super Mario Bros. the way the sound is output on a NES-on-a-chip.

Windows? Right click the file, and hit install. It should copy/paste into your fonts folder. Alternatively you can go to control panel in classic view and copy/paste the font yourself into the fonts directory.

Speaking of NES, my toploader Nesie (or if you want to be lame and not name your consoles, the NES 2) is probably going to retire. It only uses RF cables, and all three of the ones I have (1 original, 1 bought to replace, and 1 with the second NES I bought after breaking the first trying to take it apart) give me excessive interference. TV, I don't mind static - but with Nesie it's horribly excessive and only highlighted by our nice big TV. I hate those wavy lines SO much!

Yes, like LPs. They're in the process of selling their children's books too, which is actually a bigger problem as a library - regardless of where - always deserves that kind of section.. I'm actually going to send a complaint to the admissions office, even if I don't go there apparently they listen to prospective students quite a bit. Some of the faculty I spoke to were also very distraught by these decisions; and just between you and me, the students don't even use the library to study because it's just too loud. So those new study rooms are useless.

Dear USD, I am NOT okay with you removing your entire music library before I go there. OR your kid's book section. :< SO UNCOOL! I know an education is more important than what music is in the library (now? NONE.), but the record collection was a big draw when I took the tour last year. Empty study room in the section's place, which was once covered in records.

bkev....... knows no cool actors off the top of his head at his age so his character would be animated and a figment of everyone's imagination voiced by Dan Castlanetta, alternating between Grandpa Phil (from Hey Arnold)'s voice and that of the genie from Aladdin. Yup, this version of me would be far more annoying.

also Gaffer that is a rather uncanny resemblance. He's got a goofier expression though.

^I'm not sure that qualifies him as an asshole, maybe more someone who's just trying to make a living going to these conventions and isn't really as in to it as other people might be (for example, anime voice actors etc. LOVE conventions because it's where they get the most recognition.) He's always seemed like a generally nice guy. His parts were relatively minor, and he's had other things to do with his life - so I certainly can't blame him for forgetting the no-doubt minuscule details people were asking about at the convention.

Now if it turns out the questions weren't really obscure nerdy trivia and would have been simple to answer I would retract a fair amount of the above, but I've never heard anything about him being an asshole before.

Hey, I like 2010.  You just have to go into it not expecting it to be 2001 - it's great sci-fi in its own right, but it doesn't come close to touching the greatness that was the original.

And 2001 looks so fantastic because it was shot on 70mm.  Oh, what/who I would do to get to see a 70mm screening of 2001...

I've had many opportunities to see 2001 in 70mm, the American Cinematheque theaters in LA tend to rotate it at least twice a year. I've never gotten anyone else interested enough to go, so I haven't. Which is a shame because now that I"m going off to college I highly doubt a place that isn't Los Angeles will give me those opportunities.
