Forget what I said about the colors, I'm not good at describing them and that's really a subjective thing. However, I agree with keysersoze5's comment about the dewback. And also, I know you were having EXTREME difficulty with the lightsabers, but often times the tip if Obi-Wan's lightsaber becomes a different color from the rest - a different blue, or there's less glow to it or something. Is that an '04 issue? It's noticeable in motion, but I'm having trouble getting a screenshot that properly demonstrates what I'm poorly explaining. The best I can do is this:

OK Harmy! I've gotten through most of this, and here are my thoughts so far (aside from WOW):

-Laser blasts. The lasers themselves look good, but the flashes are a shade of purple that doesn't agree with me. I know it's not as bad as in the '04, but shouldn't these be white? It looked like they were in the GOUT corner above.
-Some of your Death Star shots are a little iffy on the colors IMO. What might be gray in the GOUT turns out a strange shade of green. Is this what you're going for, or are you going for something closer to the blue from '04? Just curious.
-Crushed blacks are a problem, probably from working from the '04 DVD. I guess you can't do much about that but I felt it was worth mentioning.

Now see that's really strange and inconsistent. The shot with vader looks better on '04, but 3PO's shot looks better with the DV broadcast. Did you mess up the order by mistake? They look like they match the ones they're not supposed to.

That being said, I could be wrong.

Rocky - first time. Quite amazing, not gonna lie. And here I thought Sylvester Stallone was part of pop culture because he's got a funny voice! What a movie.

Also, it was amusing to see my mother pridefully boast as she recognized all the places in his training montage.

I'm upset about all the cameos (Vader, Yoda etc) but the different paths amuse me so I'm sure I'll ride it 10,000 times if it's open on Grad Nite - which it really should be, because my teacher said the old one was... but all the dark rides aren't. I'm so confused, but hopeful.

Typically someone being ignored kinda means they're not on the same page. Maybe I'm wrong?

Color me interested! I know I wasn't much help with your ROTJ workprint but I have plenty of free time right now so I'd love to watch.

I do miss 3PS and Fink getting along.

To clarify: yes, Gaff, it's the language spoken Hmong (spell?) language parts that are subtitled below the frame - unlike in the theatrical release, where the subs were in frame. Not referring to closed captioning.

The subtitles out-of-frame and being activated by the player aren't too uncommon in movies in general. Gran Torino does that too, sadly. I hate, hate, HATE blu-ray subtitles. The fonts just look so strange to me.

Watch your white levels, the Tantive is looking rather yellow. Also, even in small screen, it's looking rather sharp - easy on the edge enhancement?

The amazon.com page makes me happy, the review voted "most helpful" is an actual break-down as to why the set will be a disappointment! It's on the main page for the set here. Don't think it was one of us who wrote it, but obviously the guy know his stuff! This is a good sign.

edit: the guy even refers a person to Zombie's "secret history of star wars" page in one of the further comments.

My wife has told me several times that she'd like to dye her hair red, just for fun.  I've discouraged it in one of those "I love you just the way you are" ways... but it might be fun for a little bit.

To wit: she has two red wigs.  A longer one she used for her psuedo-Mara Jade costume two Halloweens ago.  And a shorter, orangier one that she used for April O'Neal last Halloween.
