Harmy did a "party despecialized" edition of each movie awhile back before he had all the tech stuff down. They're all pretty well-constructed and might be what you're looking for.

I just saw Explosions in the Sky live. I think my ears may be permanently damaged from the volume of it. Also, it seems a lot easier to notice music compression right now...
I'm really not a fan of ADD camera syndrome, which every movie in the past 15 years seems to have - especially action movies! You can barely go 5 seconds without a new camera angle...
Oh boo-hoo. ONE image that isn't even animated and is smaller than a fair amount of people's lines of text. :P
I wouldn't say talent is frowned upon as much as it is certain musical forms are expected of groups. What I mean by that is that the genres constrict groups too much. Occasional groups tend to cross genres, like Radiohead has gone more electronic in the past few years, but today I think most bands tend to give their fans want they want rather than evolving.
Most pop however is repetitive garbage.

That's why TPM is IMHO the best of the prequels. Despite the plot holes, the so called "characters", and the crappy CGI, they had real sets and models for a lot of Special Effects, which made them look real. Or more real than the CGI crap of the other two.

2. Capture smear-free '93, release raw

As cool as that Maul fight stuff is, the shots are heavily compressed. And it's not just youtube, as when I went from 360 to 480 it was still pretty bad.
No... Dark_Jedi's is entirely sourced from the GOUT save audio options. He just anamorphisized (that can't be a word) the picture and degrained in scenes where necessary. Also, it's upscaled to 720p.
I think those are on Dark Jedi's project blu.
I know the simple text editor isn't really a priority, but I far prefer it to the advanced mainly because I found that clunky and difficult to maneuver with. Any chance it could be fixed in a future revision?
...Okay, I end up reading a boatload of your posts anyway. I love web archive! It also has previous versions of websites that aren't protected by bot crawlers or whatever... we can see what OT.com was like back in 2004!

With the recent backlash regarding the newest changes to the OT, I think it's time for an overhaul on the main page. The layout is simple ,which is something I support - however, I'm NOT fond of the fact that it appears to only be a news ticker. There's no FAQ, no list of grievances aside from the petition itself. We need to explain our goals flat-out on the front page. Also, a feature similar to 005's comprehensive change list would be cool; hell, the site could even just link to it in this FAQ I'm talking about.
Just look at how the site looked in 2004* Straight to the point, with George's infamous quote regarding cultural heritage. A powerful beginning for a simple site dedicated to its mission. I'd love to see something like that, it's a real attention grabber.
Also, more radically, I think the fanedit part of the forum should be split off to fanedits.com. It gives less credibility to the mission, mainly due to the irony. While I do enjoy our fanediting community, I don't think the petition and/or site needs people brushing it off just because we're inconsistent.
