OHMSS - the ABC Cut (remastered) (Released)
Time

I don't seem to have it but I know FF grabbed it before it got lost. Maybe he still has it.

There was a post in one of the Bond threads recently with a torrent that had ...basically everything that's never gotten an official release... you could want. It was in that, but I can't find the thread - or the blog that the post in question linked to.

They are just expressing there opinion on the Saga.

If that was just the case, then there would be no problem. But with farter Skywanker, all he is doing is trying to get attention. The constant "gorgeous god-like Hayden" posts are tiresome. he is doing all this crap deliberately. Just take a deeper look and you will see that many of his post will directly contradict his so called opinions in other threads he is trolling.  He wants to be the centre of attention.

I put him on ignore but it's impossible for me to ignore him when others quote him, plus when i click on "first unread post" it only takes me to the top of the page and not to the first unread post if he was the first to post.

O.k. they have gone to far, but they are just expressing their opinion. The "God- like Hayden" is a WAY WAY WAY too much though. And just stop trolling o.k. Sykwalker. Because you can get banned.

Now just Drop the subject. I won't say no more.

This post makes me seriously consider the joke I made above.

When/Why did you become an OT purist?

EDIT: My bad, it wasn't the AFI. It was an L.A. film festival in 2003.

AFI was forced to show the 2004 edition on a separate occasion though, you're correct. Same with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts; in 2007, they showed the SE for the "Great to be Nominated" screening of Star Wars.

What do you LIKE about the Prequels?
Time

Well said. I liked the designs in Episode One myself as well.

Another thing that I always try to explain is that in all honesty I think it's the closest George ever got to what he wanted in the first place. It is really episodic, just like a movie serial. If you're a believer in the saga of Anakin Skywalker (I'm not), you really could skip this movie without any repercussions - like how you could probably walk into the Batman & Robin serials without having seen the preceding Batman one.

Another thing about it is that I always felt like it never tried to be anything more than a kids' movie. I found, despite more "serious" scenes like in the jedi temple, a rather consistent tone - more than I can say for the following two. There's an innocence I feel in it that I don't in any of the others... but that might be nostalgia goggles talking. If anyone thinks they can better explain my points give it a shot.

48 fps!
Time

I see 48fps as a curiosity and nothing more. I imagine it will take off much like 3D but will take a long time for it to become the norm.

As for film vs video as a certain someone typically managed to wrangle into this discussion? I've stopped caring. As long as the digital cameras are of high quality I don't care. It's more what's done with the medium and less how it's filmed. Of course I don't excuse George Lucas for filming at only 1080p, but if 2k or 4k cameras are used I think it looks just as good as film to my eye. I like films that have grain structure but honestly it's not a deal-breaker if it wasn't filmed that way the way it is with home video. There's a difference between a film being scrubbed of natural grain and it not having much to begin with.

It sure sounded like you were.   You were basically saying that I shouldn't mind being used to con my friends, because I Christian.

not at all.

if you say so.

I wasn't going to say so but that is SUCH a shit response and you should be ashamed of yourself Warbler. Though Walkingdork probably could have clarified better, that's essentially rolling your eyes at him. I didn't read it in that sense at all, but I'm also not religious so...

What Do You Remember From Your First Viewing Of The OT?
Time

My first viewing was in 1997. I was three and three-quarters (no more, no less folks.) I had just gotten my hair cut at the barber shop down the street from the theater, and into Return of the Jedi I went. Why start with that? I'm not sure. Maybe it's the only one I asked to see. I'm pretty sure the other two had ended their run at the theater. As the lady who cut my hair had warned me, I itched a lot. Don't remember why that haircut made that happen.

Now being the ultimate target audience for that one I was blown away. I even liked Jedi Rocks for what it was, not knowing a less annoying number once had its place. That following Christmas I'm pretty sure we got the fullscreen SE trilogy. The rest is personal history.

That theater remains one of my favorites to this day and thank God it's still around.
