any progress/news? I want to see the Japanese version.
And also, is there ANYone who can sub it? The American dub changed the entire plot's moral. It went from "even-though-I'm-a-copy-I-can-live-a-normal-life" to "Z0MG FIGHTING IS TEH WRONG!"
I thank you for this in advance; now I can see the movie in 16:9.
EDIT: OH. MY GOD. I LIKED THE DUB MUSIC MORE! THIS IS THE ODDEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE!

Hey Paul,
as many of you guys know I've been looking fora version of the OT; my friend (big thanks to him) lent me his VHS copies of SW and ESB (both pre-faces, one FOX vid other CBS.) If someone were to capture that, would you use the historgrams from it? Given the amount of dirt grain and random oddities found on the video, it's safe to say it probably has colors very close to the original.

Hmm, crawl seems a bit sped up in the video; pry just me. I am damn near technology-illiterate (at least in this subject,) so don't take my word for it.

Didn't you say you'd color corrected the explosion shot on the Tantavive (spell)? Possible wrong render shot?
I don't know what to think of it - I like the newly rotoscoped laser blasts though.

You know, there are some people - such as myself - that feel a nostalgia towards ROTJ because it was the first they saw (my first SW experience was the SE theater release). I just wanted to defend ROTJ; it really doesn't deserve hate it gets.
And, being 5 at the time, I absolutely LOVED The Phantom Menace. It is definitely as corellian said: light-hearted, adventure-filled, innocent fun.
I'm not saying ROTJ/TPM was better than ESB (although when it comes to the original I have trouble deciding...), but my opinion remains: TPM and ROTJ were *NOT* weak movies.

I know this is a bump, let alone a double-post, but the suspense is KILLING ME!
OK, so I went the first day season passes were supposedly available; sold out, simply due to star wars. I'm gonna swing by early tomorrow and find out what the line is for people waiting for others to NOT show up - over 20 my mom says I can't go, but under... I"ll get to take the chance!
I'll let you guys know either way, I hope you don't mind. I'm happy that I may be the only kid my age who may have the slightest chance of seeing the OOT, let alone in theaters!
