OLK, I really think that is one awesome cover. I may actually use it, holy crap!
Anyway, I know it's a WIP, but I think the back could be spiced up a bit... seems too normal to me right now. Like it mirrors the PT dvd's on the back, almost in style. And on the side, I noticed you have some sort of image there. Are you planning on making some for Ady's other edits and putting together a spine image?
Okay, now I'm being picky... but you know how the original SE covers had a note that it was "special edition" under the title? Well, maybe you could put 'REVISITED' there. I think it would look really nice.

Why though? So the next movie can waste time showing Lyra before she goes into the other world? The second book began far after that point.

Did Pullman also like the other, pathetic contrivances that replaced the book's plot (like Iorek becoming king before fighting at Bolvangar)? Did he like all of the Lyra's World for Dummies sequences and explanations when the original story focused on characters and mystery instead? Did he like all of the incredibly-boring, added scenes depicting the bad guy's belated intentions and faulty knowledge as a way to ruin almost all of the story's suspense?

I'd have trouble believing that any author would have supported the final film we got. That is unless that author is best with books and likes bad movies. :\

Closest to that is ADM's hybrid edit v1; he has Lapti Nek synched with the Jedi Rocks footage. It has Naboo, but it also has Sebastian Shaw. v2 has an all-new montage ending.

I have no idea if v1 is still available anywhere.
