Wow, are you sure you can fit all of that on a DVD5 without compression? I dont' know how much subtitles take up, but that's a lot.

Maybe a merger is in order... take the stuff that you've found changed from the Laserdisc and put it on the DVD? Or just the straight transfer, I dont' know. Jeez, why did they change it anywau? The laserdisc looks better.
Having been obsessed with that particular movie when I was younger, I'd like to see it the way I remember it (however, with the more footage offered in widescreen.)

It has memories for me. And an amazing soundtrack. The Episode One game, while not the best I've ever played, was a great distraction. Anyone else have any parts that they found not disappointing? Anything you remember fondly?

Censorship. And thanks for the luck, I finished it pretty quick.

I mean, here I am having grown up with batman TAS since at least four - whereas now I can't even see a single gun on a cartoon that isn't "for kids." I think it's a little ridiculous, especially things like with Disney's "IT'S A BONAR" knee... you'd have to be damn sick to think it's a boner, and hopefully none of those kids watching thinks that way.

Edited to seem less angry and make a little more sense

While it could be done (when he has the visions during his training), it could take away something from the film. Detract from the experience, so to say. It's like with the Golden Compass*: you weren't supposed to be able to see what Lira saw, she was just supposed to explain it; I think it's the same with Luke.

*Her visions were shown, and I was just giving an example; it turned out for the worse.

Here's my two cents on the emperor. Yes, you should keep McDiarmid; yes, he could use some seroius editing. I have below you, a shot taken from the Darth Editous episode V thread.

On the left, we have the Darth Editous try; on the right, Laserman's. I think that the edits sould be something along these lines. Does anyone else agree?

Well... the color-correction looked really good Ady. Maybe I'm just being "anal" here, but Yoda's neon-green skin bugged me in the DVDs. Maybe you could make him look something like he's shown in Paul's Vintage Edit?
