I miss my extended family already. And my cheesesteaks. Even my tomato pies. Hell, just the east coast. Shit, even their convenience stores are better - I mean, Wawa? Where the hell are those on the west coast?

Oh yeah, we were on vacation and surprised the family by showing up at the Christmas party. Had a blast, if you can't tell.

BANNED BOND: The Criterion Collection on DVD (Released)
Time

I'll vouch that From Russia with Love looks amazing on blu-ray, whether it's the originally intended colors or not. And Dr. No's DVD doesn't look too bad to me, either. Also, captainsolo, keep in mind that any new theatrical prints are likely derived from the Lowry restorations.

As for LALD, while I can't speak for the movie, these screenshots might. Note that the blu-ray shot is given mainly for color reference, as I doubt such a small picture could show the detail improvements.

Very easy to say which one's better, no? If these pictures stretch the forum I'll edit them to links.

Christmas Movie traditions
Time

Hah, I kind of envy you Sluggo. I wish I could not be into the commercial part of Christmas. I'm a sap for every single part of it. Did I ever make my list? Hmm:

-Hey Arnold Christmas Episode... now if only Nick would air the freakin' thing
-A Christmas Carol (any or every version, but I'm always partial to the Muppet one as proven by the first page)
-It's a Wonderful Life
-How the Grinch Stole Christmas
-A Charlie Brown Christmas

I avoid the claymation ones now, they just tend to annoy me.

Empire used to really scare me as a kid.
Time

This may be the silliest reason for not liking a movie, but I was four. It was around Thanksgiving, and it was the first time I was watching ESB. I don't know if it was a TV dinner or something actually palatable, but one of the side dishes included stuffing - I hate stuffing, at least when it's not stuffed in something. And thus, I forever associated Empire with the horrible food - until about 3 years ago.

Not sure how long it goes on for, but it's sure awesome!
