Yeah, that was really cool.
Yeah, that was really cool.
Rewatched ET. Easily has Williams' best work as a composer if you were to ask me - I teared up several times merely because of the musical score. Maybe I'm feeling sappy today. On another topic, on my VHS copy, the terrorist line is cut entirely - not just changed to a hippie. Weird how censorship changes in degree from release to release.
Oh man, I remember those threads. Can't believe that was so shortly after I'd joined.
Switched out Ohio for Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams". Sorry to switch another one out, but I forgot how much I loved it - and it was their only #1 hit in the US, so it better be valid! I'll try to stay hands-off from the list from now on.
Switched out Aerosmith for a song by the Dead, thanks to VFP reminding me I love at least 2 albums by them. Not the first song that comes to mind, but it opens Workingman's Dead - and according to wiki "Uncle John's Band... was the first time many in the general rock audience actually heard the band's music."
Had order, accidentally X'd out - so this is slightly different than I'd originally planned. No order - 1 and 10 are two of my favorite songs of all time.
1. Nights in White Satin - Moody Blues
2. Let it Be - Beatles
3. Old Man - Neil Young
4. Dreams - Fleetwood Mac
5. Where the Streets Have No Name - U2
6. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - Rolling Stones
7. Blowin' in the Wind - Bob Dylan (may switch this one out later)
8. Uncle John's Band - Grateful Dead
9. I Can't Tell You Why - Eagles
10. God Only Knows - Beach Boys (B Side, should have been the A side)
This is my list... it really says a lot that I had to be careful not to repeat artists... :/ I need to branch out
And some returns, such as Sean (as of now I guess) and Warb. The off-topic section's pretty awesome now, and I'm glad... only thing that keeps me here outside of internet addiction. haha.
So, thoughts on Leno's return? I personally haven't watched, I've been going to bed really early recently to make up for a few recent late nights.
Can we open up this to albums that reached a high place on the charts, rather than just the singles? A lot of my favorite songs are too long for top places on the singles charts, particularly from Pink Floyd or The Who (I don't count "Won't Get Fooled Again", that single is horrendously cut).
There goes the internet...
Blah blah blah, obnoxious "switch browsers" post. Feel free to delete.
DANG! Just missed out on a dirt cheap Quadrophenia auction on eBay. Easily one of my top albums of all time, but I only have it on CD.
Good choice FF. Frink, if you call that NSFW, you're a little paranoid.
I can't believe it's not bacon!
Why pick a topic like this? Really guys?
Also, I love bacon.
I get a stutter on the opening crawl and first few minutes as well, but it goes away after awhile.
Indeed C3.
Some days you forget you live in the entertainment capital of the world. Then, you see Hugh Laurie walking around in Westwood Village. Made my day.
Yeah, that's a pretty good idea. Lock/unlock it as needed to alert as to why someone was banned, or something along those lines.
Let's just say even countries advise against IE. Germany's not the only one.
Coffee Bean is the west-coast Starbucks. Everyone likes to go there more to pretend that they're better people for it, but really it's the same
Frink, where have you been all this time? This forum needed you a long long time ago.
oh, I meant Frasier... haha.
Friend of yours, Olie?
Goodwill? Good idea! (see what I did there herpderp I'm hillarious). I'd bet my local one has one.
It could be a visual novel adaptation, just a guess. haha.
Upon further inspection those are really poor... there's horrible airbrushing and the black levels are beyond horrendous. I think even a simple toning down of the brightness could fix that, if you want the best looking cover.
