The skin tones certainly look much better, Dr. M, but the Death Star still looks a bit dull...

Unfortunately no, it was a genuine mistake Xhonzi. :(
While the Han shot looks pretty gray, the shot of Ben and Luke on the Death Star is lookin' blue in csd79's shots. I think at that point it becomes a case of applying his settings to the entire movie and then color-correcting by scene, if anyone has the patience for so.
edit: this process might be a good place to start. While it's been proven that the GOUT is not the best frame of reference, modifying the '04 set this way and then doing further work could be a good method.
I believe it was slippery slope I was thinking of. Thanks, Akwat. I don't believe that must necessarily follow, but I'll wait for Bingo to pop in before I speak for him.

Sorry. I just happen to agree with Bingo that it's a commercialized, guilt-tripping mess of a holiday with little redeeming qualities in its current form. Case in point: those terrible, terrible jewelry commercials I mentioned yesterday. That's all that Valentine's Day is about now: buying love.
Valentine's Day is not about buying love, its about show love. One way you show love is buying gifts. Just about every holiday is commercialized, especially Christmas. Should we hate every holiday?
What a poorly-written lead in...
Indeed, Mark Hamill was in the dub of Castle in the Sky.
How could I forget Bebop? This is one of those shows that I would consider to go beyond the anime spectrum: it borrows so much from various different cultures and movie genres that it becomes universal. I'm happy there's a live-action adaptation in the works still, so long as they don't screw it up.
You know you COULD try sticking to one account...
bkev -> bake, bike, baked, baker, bakes
Anime is good for memories of being a kid for me and not much else, I despise the generic comedies/action titles I didn't grow up with. Sometimes I even loathe the ones I did... ANYWAY, the point is Miyazaki goes beyond genre so not really.
THIS HAND OF MINE GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER! ITS BURNING GRIP TELLS ME TO DEFEAT YOU. SHIIIINIIIING... FIIINNGEEEERRRR!!!
Yeah, I still love G Gundam. It took a serious series and turned it upside down into what some consider a mockery of marial arts complete with giant robots.
I don't think banning bans one from the sight, just loggin into the forums.
Someone's staying on ignore...
No chapter stops? Did Netflix do this to you?
We used to have a poll feature on the old forum software...
I think the only shot I'd keep from the SE would be the Biggs exchange. It's not much, but I think it ads a bit of universality to the appeal of the Rebellion if Luke's not the only one from Tatooine that goes for it.
Hence stock-footage. It wasn't shot for the purposes of the scene, unlike occasional SE shots (such as Boba Fett in the new Jabba scene).
If memory serves, Hayden here was composed of stock footage; I believe he didn't even know he'd been put in until afterwards.
Unless you were to slow them down to the proper speed... that is an easy process, is it not?
YIYF shows up from time to time, but he's mainly moved on... I think. he left shortly after I showed up.
Ricardo what the hell are you doing.
I see Warb sighed a lot even back then
Did newsgroups ever see the raw capture?
For christ's sake there's copies at the Library of Congress. Get help, man... claiming LFL will kill people who prefer the OT reeks of insanity.
Wait, time out. Greedo's been retconned - AGAIN - so that he's now the one who fights Anakin in the deleted scene? Didn't they change that so it was not so beforehand, even though it was what he had in mind?
