Info: Re-mixed audio tracks on video releases
Time

did you notice the audio gap on predator when hawkins got killed. it was always present on the laserdisc and dvd - i don't remember if it still was in it on the s.e. dvd - but on the blu-ray the gap was gone. i always liked this audio gap/pause.

that's why i just made a bid on the ld on ebay and won it. i should've seen jonno's comment a bit earlier. oh well, no big problem.

i also predator 2 on laserdisc. how does the audio compare to the blu-ray?

as for batman, i still have the japanese ld of batman here. i don't know how it compares to the dvd/blu-ray. i haven't seen the movie in ages.

'Escape From New York' - laserdisc soundtrack rip (Released)
Time

i just got back my ld from zeropc. he captured the movie audio for me. i trimmed the beginning, layer change and end to get the pure audio of the movie. let me know if you want it and a good place to put it so you can grab it.

i didn't sync it - i'll leave the task up to you.

audio was captured to wave from the widescreen c.e. ld.

Star Wars 1977 70mm sound mix recreation [stereo and 5.1 versions now available] (Released)

It is fairly well known on this forum that the 1993 Definitive Collection laserdisc soundtrack comes the closest, since it was sourced directly from the 70mm printmaster.  But because of numerous added sound effects (some of which are worthy additions, while others prove more distracting), it occasionally leaves the listener with the feeling that they are not hearing the film's "real" sound mix.

this may have been answered here or elsewhere but what about the audio of the widescreen edition: are they untouched and represent the original theatrical mixes?

Info Wanted: anyone here done a Star Wars 35mm Trailer Preservation?
Time

when the blu-ray was announced i hoped the trailers for all the movies would do new scans put on them on blu-ay in high quality and oar. sadly lucasfilm decided not to include any trailers at all 😦

i look from time to time on ebay for these trailers but boy oh boy, they go up very quickly and way out of my budget 😦

that’s why i wondered if anyone ever did a 35mm scan of the trailers.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 + 5 - Theatrical Trailer Restoration
Time

here a two restorations of the trailers i did for nightmare on elm street 2 and 5.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge

IMDB

this red-band trailer was never put on dvd or blu-ray. only the green-band trailer was available on dvd/blu-ray.
the reference source was in very bad shape, but it was still good enough to be used for this project.
this is a 100% recreation of the original version.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child

IMDB

the trailer was never put on dvd or blu-ray. only the teaser was put on the dvd/blu-ray.
the reference source was in very bad shape, but it was still good enough to be used for this project.
