Let me just add that Lucasfilm should hire babyhum as an official media archivist. He has unearthed things from the UK that I never knew existed. As a U.S. citizen I had no clue how big Star Wars was in England until I saw a few of his releases. And honestly, some of these documentaries produced for the BBC and Sky One put anything released by the U.S. news media to shame. "A Long Time Ago... the Story of Star Wars" and "Flying Solo" are two of the finest documentaries I've ever seen on George Lucas or the creation of Star Wars... and the Clapperboard TESB interviews are amazing too!

Thank you so much babyhum for unearthing some of these treasures for us.

Yancy

My pleasure.

Sky HD Broadcasts in the UK
Time
Here's a technical question. I've downloaded an HD copy of Star Wars Shortened from Usenet in it's original .TS format. I'd like to know how it's possible to grab the HD signal from Sky HD transmissions before I invest in Sky HD myself. I know Sky+ SD is encrypted in a way that you can't rip the files from the internal hard drive, but is this different with Sky HD?

Have any of these appeared on bh001 - bh013? Any plans for them to appear on future releases?

Have a look at my blog. I'm currently transferring them from Japanese laserdiscs to put on future releases.

Just to repeat my last blog posting...

I've just realised that the hard drive that failed on me a few weeks ago had all of the source files for bh011 and bh012. Now bh011 is already out there, but bh012...the only people with copies of that disc are Metallaxis and Segaflip. I've contacted both of them requesting copies so i'll let you know if i hear from them.
Could bh012 become known as the 'Lost Disc'? I hope not.

There are some updates regarding new releases over at the blog. I'm also toying with the idea of posting bh012 myself over at alt.binaries.starwars.

Will bh012 still be posted on MySpleen if this is the case? (I'm still trying to figure out how newsgroups work . . .)

Take care,
Sojourn

Metallaxis has the torrent copy. When he has the time i'm sure he'll put it up at Myspleen.

Gotcha. But that means, then, that you ended up deciding to do the "Making Of" documentaries as dual-layers, right? Or are you still considering doing them as single-layer releases, provided that you can find enough bonus material?

IF I find enough bonus materials then they will be single layer releases. If NOT they'll be dual layer. ALSO, my disc of the coverage of the UK premiere of Revenge Of The Sith WILL be dual layer. It will include all of the news coverage i have, the E4 special, and possibly Generation Jedi (space permitting).
