Jambe, i picked up an interesting DVD at a car boot sale today. It's caled "the unauthorised star wars story". Its an hour long documentary and features interviews with the cast as well as george and some others involved in the saga including interviews with garrick hagon ( they make a cock up and call him biggs starglider though). It doesn't have any behind the scenes footage or any star wars footage but has a few interesting bits like the UK '77 star wars lines from news reports and footage of some of the tunisian locations. It seems to concantrate more on ANH than the other movies but most of the interviews i have never seen before.
I went into HMV and they said they had never heard of it Although i looked later on the net and found some info about it from amazon.com). Would this be of any interest to you or do you already have a copy of it? It does seem that its still available to buy but not from many places so you may be able to pick yourself up a copy for about £4 ( i only paid 25p today though.lol)

That sounds really interesting - what is the quality like?

I want it transferred on DVD. Instead of wasting time on dancing Yoda, waste that time on cleaning that source video, to present it to us in decent quality, so that we can throw our $ on buying it.
Want to make SE edition of OT? Why not restoring the sequence when the snowspeeders attack AT-ST in ESB? They originally shot the F/X in 1979, but scr*wed up sth, so the sequence is incomplete. They could finish or re-do it with CGI in 1997. Why didn't they? This would have no negative impact on the story or pace of the movie. It would give us "more of the original, but in new package", without messing it up.

Amen!

What's your preferred term for your "Indian" side? I know it differs a lot with everyone.

NATIVE AMERICAN WOULD BE THE "PC" TERM, BUT SINCE I'M HALK CHEROKEE I JUST GO BY THAT NAME. IT WASN'T UNTIL 9/11 THAT "NATIVE AMERICANS" HAD ANY REAL PROBLEM WITH THE NAME "INDIANS."

Yeah - I mean, I know everyone is different with what they prefer. I've heard American Indian, Indigenous American, Amerindian, etc. "American" would be the most fair, but then everyone would think we're talking about John Q. Public, Citizen Of The United States. Oh well. By tribe is probably the best way, but then it is still ignoring the whole continental culture. I don't know. But, anyway, I'm in the least position to make any value judgements one way or the other about which label is best - and, in the end, race is just a label.

That's not an easter egg - that was originally supposed to be in ROTS. I mean, it fits right into that movie and it fits in with the PT in general, so how could it not be a real deleted scene? I think it was supposed to happen right before the trip to Kashyyyk. They were going to have Hayden Christensen in the same scene, too, but he wasn't funky enough to keep up with Yoda. Amazing what those puppeteers can do these days! I think they were going to still put Hayden in somehow, but his movements just didn't fit with Yoda's (and there was no way to change them, once they had been filmed), so they put him in at the end of ROTJ instead, so he could still be with Yoda - - - AND Obi-Wan.
