adywan, do you have a photo album comparing all the old shots and your shots? i really enjoyed looking through your work in picture form for star wars (yeah, yeah, a new hope now!)

hi all just thought i'd ask about this, because as a youngster, i always thought the academy luke asks uncle owen about was where the rebels were trained. obviously now, to me there is no way that the empire would allow such a thing. so what actually is the academy? i've seen some test footage that seemed to be filmed in a car park with some unknown (to me) actors playing luke and biggs, and biggs is talking about sneaking off from the academy to join the rebellion. which leads me to ask-
did luke nearly become an imperial pilot at some sort of imperial training academy?

zombie 84- as someone who saw star wars at the cinema in 77, to read about the earlier ideas for the film was absolutly fascinating, and as been said i do see the prequels in a different light. so much so i registered to this forum after lurking for over a year to say "good job!"
