Amusing that you make this statement, considering the board you're on.

You do realize that even making a copy for yourself (which you've already admitted to) is a copyright violation anyway.

And I see no monumental distance between the two shots that would warrant someone desperately searching out this underground "final version" that only an elite number of people have.

All anyone really cares about are the deleted scenes anyway.

Bottom line: relax. No one is saying you're distributing it.

They know fans have copies of all of this stuff, but they don't really bother with that because they know it's low quality. I learned that. Damn near crapped my pants too. They overlook the individuals. They also know about this board and what it's for. Note we stopped making updates, posting clips and the such. And still haven't since.

If some people (no names) hadn't been so blatantly open about it and posted clips in their anxiousness, after they were told to keep it on the dl, it would have been ok and gone under the radar and not ruined it for everybody. And now here we are back at that point A. We were going to present it to the studio in hopes of getting an official release, but now we can't even do that.

We were trying to stay low key about it for a while, but then tada. It's all back to point wait.

If there IS a copy out there it is an incomplete version of what may have been.

As you may have seen clips on various sites... those are varying in quality and, obviously from way before the it had been worked on and some things fixed up better.

Only a few on the planet have the real finalized sound and image version, and digitalfreak is NOT one of those people.

How do I know? Because the stuff that may have been passed out was far from a final completed pass.

why is that confusion? I stated the facts brothers.

Now, can some one help me find the Italian THX1138?

I want that so bad.

BTW I do own a TV version of STM and it has commercials.

But this RIC crap is all bull, this project ended years ago but people still post on this page. I have tried everything to get rid of this thread.

Yeah, what he said.

Someone (no names) jumped the gun and sent it to some people it shouldn't have been sent to in the unfinished state it was in, but eyes were now watching. So, yeah. Whatever was put out there by this individual is now what you get. One bad anxious apple ruined it for the whole basket. WB should now send this complete team in to work on restoring from the actual elements. Make it "official" already. Ain't gonna happen you know.

Step back. Any upload titled 'Superman The Movie Restored International Cut', 'Superman The Movie KCOP' or 'Superman The Movie Salkind' or variations thereof cuts were in no way shared by myself, phineas, Mitch nor Superman1978.com, its associated websites (SupermanII.com, SupermanIII.com, SupermanIV.com and SupergirlTheMovie.com) or message board or OriginalTrilogy.com and are solely the responsibility of original uploader.

I hope you enjoy whatever versions are available and the hard work that went into their making.

WB now owns the rights to ALL the films. They brought EVERYTHING (including the music tracks and SUPERGIRL) back from England in late 1999/early 2000 to do the extended 152 min cut of SUPERMAN THE MOVIE and later the SUPERMAN II- THE RICHARD DONNER CUT. The DONNER CUT would have been released earlier, but Brando wanted mucho $$$, so they waited until he died and settled with the estate. The SUPERMAN IV deleted scenes would also have been released earlier, but there was much confusion to the music royalties and rights. This is one of the reasons I think the Metro Club scenes were not released.

Neither Donner nor Richard Lester had final cut say on SUPERMAN I-III (the Salkinds did), so WB can put out ANY version w/o their permission so long as they get what their contracts called for in terms of royalties and the such. It is just a courtesy and respect to ask for the director's support and backing, but it is not needed. I assume that once Donner dies we'll get all we want, as was the case with Brando and his SUPERMAN II/SUPERMAN RETURNS scenes.

As mentioned, the AMC airing was the 2001 extended 152 min version released to DVD and blu-ray.

ALL the footage is at WB in Burbank, though it has not been "restored" or cleaned up (just stored away safer than it was in England in a storage unit collecting dust and humidity) and would be done so only as needed.

I found it.  Its spread across 2 discs, and is 146mins long.  Unfortunately, the 2nd DVD-R will no longer play.  I cant rip it to my hard drive.  Ive had this problem with alot of my old DVD-Rs.   Ill keep trying to get it to rip, but it may be a lost cause.

I have the same problem.

BTW have you seen this?

No trouble at all kyfm.

I'll post here what I posted on fb

Well, here's the lowdown. A certain individual (no names, but I'm sure you can guess who this blue bomb is) contacted WB and turned them on to what we were doing so they would stop up because this person wants to be the only one with it. So as of right now we're making this for ourselves and if a copy gets around it's out of our hands.  "Ya dig where I'm coming from, brother, eh?" So it is this person that wants to ruin it all for you guys.

Still being worked on. Only updates you should take serious should be from Phineas, Mitch or myself or found on the official FB page, SupermanII.com/forum or Superman1978.com. Anything said by anyone else is rumor. The project is still a go. Some new and better sources have been donated to the editor and some of the previous finished scenes are being reworked.

Privacy, eh? Well, then you won't be giving your address out to receive a copy so why even bother looking at any footage. ;-)

Some footage is FB exclusive. Some is Superman1978.com and Capedwonder.com exclusive. You'll just have to wait for the websites to post them.

But an update that about 90%, if not more, of the footage has been restored. Once that is completed the sound restoration will begin.

Release date is September 25, 2012... Christopher Reeve's Birthday.

RELEASED: "Star Trek: The Motion Picture (Special Longer Version)"

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like one new FX from the DE slipped through:

The bar holding the Enterprise up was removed for the DE version. It was visible in all previous incarnations as the ship leaves spacedock and obscure everything behind it as it does. You can see the original take (flaws and all) in the trailer.

It's a combination of these two art

Unfortunately this is the highest res version of this alternate Bob peak art I have been able to find.

Use it to your heart's content. Maybe the back art?

I do have a high res of the first one.  PM me if you'd like it.

I dis several variations of the posters:

The Enterprise ship in this one is from the overused theatrical poster but flipped to face the opposite way.
