Looking over the movies shown in this format at https://www.screenx.co.kr/movies/previously.php I see a lot of Asian movies. Is there any kind of ScreenX presence at all in the US?
Yes though it’s not that common in fact in Ontario, Canada there’s only one theatre that supports ScreenX. I think the reason there’s a lot of Asian movies in ScreenX is because ScreenX is a Korean invention.
With “IMAX Enhanced Blu-Rays” coming to market I think it’s safe to say that future IMAX movie preservation is going to be ok…
But what about ScreenX?
For those who don’t about ScreenX well, I can’t really explain it all that well, but what I can tell you is that ScreenX a relatively new way of viewing movies in select theatre with some scenes being extended onto the walls. The thing is, how is something like this going to be preserved for the future you guys have any ideas?
Perhaps the reason I haven’t yet received any feedback yet is because I had to split it in an archive to send it? In that case, I suppose I shall have to send a lower-resolution version.

At press time, I’m conducting a test render for color correction purposes at a horizontal resolution of 720 pixels, the same that Pixar used for lighting tests. Once that’s finished, hit me up with a direct message, and I’ll send you the color correction test, which will use both eyes overlapping each other.

If you need to send big files, definitely use filemail website. You can send large files for free and create a download link.

Maybe have Tales From The Okefenokee and any other non-Disney owned materials on a separate “bonus disc” after V3 is released? It would be a companion disc to the Disney version. I personally, would love to hear an audio commentary track from a film historian-like perspective. Maybe it could contain the history of Uncle Remus, Disney’s involvements, anecdotes from the production, the movie’s reception, what’s happened since its initial release, etc. But even if none of these extras are ever released. Please know your work is GREATLY appreciated!

Man, I wish I could help out I’ve done dirt clean up before. The thing is 1st you guys probably don’t trust me. 2nd I’m busy doing dirt clean up on two different projects. 3rd and most important my computer can’t handle 4K restorations, I’ve tried doing 4K restorations in the past, but PFClean keeps crashing on me. I guess all I can do is donate with I plan on doing later.

Hey, it says on the website that you “need to raise at least another $325 to get the whole print scanned and be granted access to the raw files.” but I’m pretty sure that number is not accurate and up to date do any of you guys know the current amount needed for the scan?
