Dayv, are you an animator? I am a struggling cartoonist/animator currently working a totally unrelated job just for the money while I work on improving/updating my portfolio. The problem is most animation jobs (inbetwwening, cleanup, etc) are farmed out to sweat shops in Korea or wherever.

But why would anybody ever consider the Lois and clark series as credible continuity?

I'd consider it over Smallville any day.

So true. Dawson's creek with kryptonite, only not half as good. How many teens-gone-bad-because-of-kryptonite stories do we need. I quit watching after the first season - so much potential, but alas...

Why the hell would you want to listen to a bleeped out record, at any volume?
I'm not really into songs that are 'f**k this, f**k that', but once in a while an artist might feel the need for a swear word to espress him/herself (the offending walmart CD I was talking about was a Ryan Adams disk - we're not talking about Eminem or anything) Why should it be bleeped? I'm an adult, I'll listen to what I want.

You mean you can't even rent the proper version in blockbuster? You get a watered down version? Geez. I remember I bought a CD in America from Walmart. I chose walmart because it was cheaper than everywhere else and because I was a naive foreigner. I got it home, stuck it in the player, and the words were bleeped out./ Actually bleeped out! Not an explicit lyrics sticker, just bleeped out. I took it back and was denyed a refund but then I put the charming English accent into play and explained my naivity at US lyrics policies and got a refund.

Well, if it was NC-17, it wouldn't get any distribution.

I just assume he made sure it stayed PG-13 because it has a slightly larger viewer range than an R rating (IE teens out without their parents)

Well if I was a filmmaker I would film the movie the way I feel it's right, with nudity or gore if it has to, and whatever rating I get it's ok by me. NC-17 movies do get distributed, how was I able to watch American Psycho?

I don't know, but AS A GENERAL RULE most theatres... or at least the ones in my area... don't play NC-17 movies.
Well you must go to a pretty crappy theatre then. I've never heard of a cinema not showing films at the higher end of the ratings scale. The way I see it, if it has been accredited by the board with a rating, even a high one, then it should be shown. If it was banned by them then I can understand.
In england we have:

U (universal, suitable for all)
PG (Parental Guidance)
12A (Over 12s only, unless accompanied by an adult)
15 (over 15s only - although these are rare)
18 (over 18s only)

All these ratings are shown at all cinemas. If an adult wants to watch a film that has been classified by the board and received a stamp of approval, then why shouldn't they?
