The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Director's Cut (Released)
Time
Just found this thread. My animation tutor was himself a student and friend of Richard Williams, and I have studied under some of the animators on The Thief and the Cobbler. I would love to see this project come to fruition as I know many of the people who worked on the film itself were not happy with the final version. PM me with your e-mail address (I can read PMs but not send them) and I will send you my Tutor's contact details.

Yuck. We're still renting, so while we own our washer and dryer, when the fridge and stove crapped out, the landlord replaced them.
Same deal with me - renting, so anything goes wrong, I don't have to pay for it. We have GREAT landlords (a kind old couple). I live in a beautiful 1920s house that has been converted into 2 one-bedroom apartments. I have a large kitchen, a large bedroom, a very large living room with original fireplace, (a small bathroom, but what can you do?) All furnished, in a nice area, for an incredibly fair price (especially since I live in London, one of the most expensive places in the world to live apparently) and we owe it all to my landlords who are not at all greedy so don't charge stupid money, The husband does any repairs etc himself, and if anything goes wrong (for example, our oven gave up the ghost) it is replaced usually within 24 hours. It's brilliant. Best landlords ever.

P.S Thanks for the PM Dayv

Any GOOD memories of the PT?

In America we say "vacation." England they say "holiday."
- True

We say "truck." They say "lorie."
We say "Semi-truck." They say "reticulated lorie."
- Not quite - What you call a truck, we would also call a truck, OR a Lorry (note the spelling). What you call a Semi, we call an ARTICULATED Lorry( which just means the cab moves seperately from the trailer). But nobody says articulated, everybody just says Lorry, whatever kind it is.

We say "french fries." They say "chips."
-True. And what you call chips, we call crisps

We say "soccer." They say "football."
Wrong. The name of the game is and always has been Footbal. YOU call it 'soccer'

We say "baby stroller." They say "pramulator."
-Not really. We call it a buggy or the old style ones like in the cartoons we would call that a Pram (which is short for Pramulator but nobody says that)

We say "gas station." They say "petrol station."
-True. We call it Petrol (short for Petroleum) while you guys call it Gas (short for gasoline)

We say "piece of paper." They say "piece of parchment."
Definitely wrong. We call it a piece of paper. What do you think England is? A time warp to the 1700s?

Star Wars DVD Covers
Time
There's a few landscape covers (Labyrinth for example) but It doesn't have anything to do with the age of a DVD - You can tell an old DVD by it's packaging (eg the shitty cardboard Warner Bros cases or the transparent plastic Jewel case style ones that you never see anymore), but if a cover is landscape (which is rare) it's nothing to do with age, just design.

I'm not going to post in AWK's fake WARBLER., INC.™©® thread in the hope that it drops off the page very quickly, and Warbler has requested that nobody post in his thread, but I just wanted to make it known that, in answer to AdamWanKenobi's suggestion that former WARBLER., INC.™©® employees such as myself may wish to join his new company, I would rather sit in a tank full of hungry eels with pieces of fish food stuck to my scrotum while a naked Saddam Hussein straddles my face than join an organisation headed by, or indeed one that has anything to do with, AdamWanKenobi. AWK., INC.™©® stinks like a pair of armoured trousers after the Hundred Years War.

Right back at ya

No IMDB: Spike Milligan (Life of Brian) John Cleese (Valiant) Ewan McGregor

Mark Lassise (he's a nobody, but looking at IMDB I can see that linking him to Star Wars won't be too hard - I'm really bad at nominating)
