According to IMDB:

New Bond Girl Will Be "Very Much an Equal to Bond"

Just one day after announcing that Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen would portray the villain in Casino Royale, the next James Bond flick, the film's producers said that French actress Eva Green had been cast as the next "Bond girl." Green, who starred opposite Orlando Bloom in Kingdom of Heaven (and was later linked to him romantically), will play the role of Vesper Lynd, a role played by Swiss actress Ursula Andress in the original 1967 Casino Royale spoof. In a statement, producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, said: "After an extensive search we have found the perfect actress. ... She brings to the complex role of Vesper an exciting combination of enigmatic and seductive beauty." Columbia Pictures Chairman Amy Pascal added that while Bond stories are first about action, "you need to have palpable sexual tension in the movie and in casting Vesper, we really needed to up the ante, because this character is very much an equal to Bond and central to our story."

I hate when they do that. I mean, Halle Berry had EQUAL billing to Brosnan on the poster for whatever crap movie they were in together, and it really pissed me off. This is a Bond movie, not a Bond and Co. movie. The bond girl should be window dressing, Bond's bit on the side. Maybe she will play some part in the overall resoultion of things, but to be Bon'd equal? No way.

although throwing pencils towards the ceiling is fun.

The company mission is a secret known only to Sybe and I. But I approve of the way youb are throwing those pencils, so I'm giving you a raise.

BTW Ricardo, where do you live? I want some music lessons.

I tend to agree with you Sybe, like I said, nothing wrong with drinking, especially the kind of examples you gave, but I've seennpeople turn into real arseholes, and I've seen some lives ruined. Add that to the fact that I never really liked drinking all that much, I just thought 'fuck it' and gave up. England has a real drink culture, all people do is go out on the weekend and get totally fucked, like it's cool or something.

Sybeman, have you ever had the opportunity to try moonshine? It takes VERY little of it to get a person drunk.
And what about Absinth? I got a bottle when I went to the Czech Republic and almost killed myself.

We've been through all this before in the old thread, but what the hell:

Best Bond - Dalton

Best Movie - License to Kill

Opinion on Brosnan - Good Bond, shit films (except Goldeneye)

Opinion on New Movie: Craig looks like he could be a great Bond, and I like this back to basics approach, so fingers crossed this will be more like the early Connery films and the Dalton films than the Moore and Brosnan fillms.

Wow, that actually sounds pretty kickass. There'd have to be a plausible reasoning for his return, and very, very subtle foreshadowing throughout all the movies, but that would be so friggin' awesome! It just goes to show you that nothing is as it seems.

The REALLY funny thing is no one pointed out the glaring continuity error my idea would create...

Just goes to show GL has us brainwashed to changes and errors.

That could have been anybody's charred corpse...
