The "Let's Hug It Out" Thread (we all like SW, can't we be friends?)
Time

^ I think it's rare having Bingo having to explain his posts... How many times I pointed out to some we don't have so serious language barriers but rather wavelength barriers. Was a time when even C3PS used to explain the idea behind my posts to those who used to take grip out of my words uselessly.

I'm glad readind the above post, not for myself cause it's been a long time I get the kind of fellow Bingo is, but because he puts so well how people effectively build their own world, be it the Internet or their real one.

The Off Topic has always turned in that love-hate circle as far as I know, with its requests for apologies, its "ignore" threads; calls for judgement; etc... You may notice the people at the center of it are very few, and long time users... Nobody hate them, but it looks like they always make their way to create this same curious "food" out of this forum after years !

Let's "hugh" it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IgsMMaACJI

It's all in the quality of the responses.

 @ Darth Ender:

Oh wait !...

I said that because Bingo and I are on ignore btw, and we posted a bunch here... It was not an "obnoxious jab" at him. Follow the discussion please.

Here's how take birth misunderstandings (I guess).

Rutger is despite his age, still too obviously physical to be the Prof.

His acts of physical violence should be a surprise.

I would have thought Fassbender too young to play younger Drac but there again :

If you watched Steve McQueen's SHAME, Fassbender doesn't look that young and he has quite a Draculesque role... More "sucked" than "sucking" though... Errrhem.

I'm feeling pensive. Thinking about the purpose of sharing personal feelings in such a forum. I find it better to suppress that impulse.

I haven't been drinking, I only had a cupcake.

I'm not much for hugging in any event. Still, I don't have a problem with anyone here. Nothing to hold a grudge about anyhow. Best to keep it light.

...

I'm more in that philosophy ^...

That's why I don't offer any grip to settling of scores and don't feel I have to justify my way of posting. There's an ignore button, simple and efficient: just use it.

^ Well done. Maybe my 1st post in that dangerous part of the fora.

... At a time when TV's Frink had maybe only 100 shy posts in his counter... The kind of silly discussions which turned you to the silly side once for all. Before your Empire.

Yes, Ric and I are your fathers !

As we divorced I suggest you come home for the week ends and you go with your other father for the rest of the week... Alright ?

Sorry I'm not discussing on Islam and Christian writtings. I guess I'm just different. Certainly I'd look like an atheist for the people you're discussing about in this thread.

So sad.

This sentence doesn't make much sense. I am trying to figure out what you mean by it. Care to give it another go?

...

It just seemed to me that there was like... a slight manifestation... like if I was hijacking the discussion from the comparisons of the different writtings (Bible, Coran...) which thread is mostly about currently.

I see a thread about Religions, I'm posting thoughts and sometimes reactions, and I even joke about it. Simple as that. So for another go: sorry if I'm not especially reacting to posts, ignoring the most part of this "serious" discussion... I feel it's not good to remain attached to ideas.

Bruce Lee used to take the best of every martial arts to polish his own one, and he was a good philosopher. A lot of people nowadays approach religions that way, so they don't stay stuck because of writtings (or even just opinions !) and "believers" don't feel forced to obey something they don't understand - *ie* wrong interpretations or distorted translations of sacred texts. Free research.

You can also search for LP covers scans, not only the soundtrack, but the Story of Star Wars LP (if you want the rectangular box logo). Some posters are good too, but once the best I found was on one of those LP's. Might be a long search Googling every keyword that comes in your mind, "LP" or "Vinyl" being sometimes not enough for digging those high res pictures.

@ DavidBrennan

I do think there have been graphists who reworked these famous fonts at the time they designed the posters. If you want to make it authentic, just get the higher res scan you can get of the 80's logos. There's no other ways to have them 100% accurate. I never found the least copy or custum logo wich was accurate. And I can tell you people really appreciate these logos when you use the good ones.

... I'm not sure the Egyptians were that basic *ie* not really based on such duality, even if in the langague of forms your statement may confirm (which is more related to OUR limited observation of it). It's the most complex Theology/Theogony/Cosmogony we know about and it requires not only a lot of time to be approached, but we need to free from our cerebral/logical heritage, the one we justly owe to the Greeks.

It isn't deep ignorance or misinterpretation, I am familiar with the chakra. It was a joke. When you very first showed up in off topic long long ago, you starting going on about "the vertical force" and several of us made jokes about it and referenced it for a bit, you seemed to get in there and laugh with us, which made me think you might have picked up on our joking, but I have never really been sure.

Ah ?... I was feeling like being pointed as the one who joked too much with it here. It's all fine then.

@Bingo

Yes, but curiously the use of sacred geometry in such architecture by the "masters" who conceived these buildings is going far beyond - as a testimony and "message" - than what the religion itself used (and still uses) to admit publicly.

... Same for their symbolics: there's no open reference to Astrology as a science for exemple at that time, and you could have been burnt alive for promoting that, well, more or less depending on the place and the time, but it wasn't at all in the taste of the authorities !

Exactly ! ;) ... And more fun again to bitch about posts from someone who can't read you anymore... :D

Though I really don't care having the final word.

I'm sure you won't believe it but I love you Frink. *smack* But needless to try using that on me for I become more... "part of the tribe"...
